Top notch hospitality in Cartagena Colombia
For our flight to Cartagena, my wife and I decided to stay at Oresca Hostel because it was close to the airport. We liked the place so much, we booked it again when it was time to leave Cartagena. It was then that we met the young owner of Oresca, Ricardo G. Stand, who just happens to be a wonderful young man. The following morning, long before anyone else was awake, Ricardo was there with take-away breakfasts in hand. While my wife and I demanded to carry our own backpacks, Ricardo walked us to the airport, just a 10 minute stroll away. On another note: Don’t worry about being too close to the airport. During our time there we saw and heard very few planes.

Excellent
the cleanliness and comfort of the rooms, the helpfulness and friendliness of the staff, and the hotel's convenient location and good value for money. It might also mention specific amenities like a nice pool or gym, or suggest areas for improvement like pool temperature regulation or more lighting at night.

Stunning, Clean, well organised hotel!
We visited this hotel in April, we loved that everything was included even the transfer from the airport. The hotel itself was stunning, very clean and staff brilliant. The parks included were well organised to get to and from with busses running all day, we never waited more than 10 mins for one to come. Drinks were proper branded alcohol unlike some other all inclusive hotels that use cheap watered down stuff. Over all 5* holiday!

Rooftop Pool and bar with a great view and service.
At Xcaret Mexcio, Selene Hau, at the rooftop pool/bar was super sweet and always helpful! Selene and her co-workers Mario and Armando were always on top of everything we could have wanted. 10 outta 10 would recommend. Going to use up the final character minimum: aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

Overpriced, Overcrowded, and Overhyped - Deeply Disappointing Stay
We’re currently booked for several more nights, and I’m honestly dreading it. This enormous hotel is packed beyond capacity. Check-in took over an hour, and none of our requests have been fulfilled. It’s been nearly impossible to get even basic things like drinking water delivered to our room — after multiple calls and no results, we figured out we could grab bottles from the gym. I later heard other guests complaining about the same issue. My son got an upset stomach after our very first meal here. Everything I’ve eaten has been underwhelming at best. The entire resort is extremely loud — local music echoes constantly, sometimes from distant locations, and it reaches the rooms even with windows closed. There’s no quiet place to relax anywhere on the property. Both of our rooms also have a strange, unpleasant smell we haven’t been able to resolve. For a stay costing $2,800 per night for two rooms, I expected far better service, comfort, and organization. I’ve traveled extensively, and unfortunately, this has been the worst hotel experience I’ve ever had. I would not recommend this resort to anyone looking for a relaxing or enjoyable stay.7o
