    Family vacation

Nice hotel, restaurants are yummy, buffet normal (quality and selection can be improved). Wish the ocean was visible from hotel grounds but you have to walk a little to see it. Lastly, would like to thank Laura from the Celsius pool. She is a very hard worker and was one of the few team members that made us feel welcomed and appreciated. Thank you Laura!

Lack of Communication, Family Conceirge was Great!!

There was a complete lack of communication prior to the trip. I was asking about hotel/airport transfers, excursions and asked for a crib in my room. NO ONE was responding to my inquires. Someone emailed once saying "we will email you when your trip gets closer" but we were already two weeks away from the trip. I called and kept getting transferred from one department to another, then eventually got hung up on during all the transfers. Finally I got a hold of someone two days before my trip who said, "we don't offer transfers or excursions." Why didn't they tell me that to begin with???? So I had to research and book a transfer and tour last minute... Then after I checked in upon arrival, I was told my room came with a cenote tour, after i ALREADY BOOKED ONE with another company! So that was a waste of $500. On the positive side, our family concierge made us feel so special. He kept texting me the daily activities and was available for any requests via WhatsApp. We were surprised with all the little gifts he was leaving my kids each day. Coloring books, colored pencils, hats, beach toys, puzzles, backpacks, beach bag for me, turtle/fish food, and stuffed animals. Note: Our bathroom smelled like a urinal. Housekeeping cleaned every day, but i think it was a plumbing issue. Very kid friendly, which was a plus. Lots of disinfected high chairs, no one is judging if your kid is acting up, staff understands that kids can get messy, there were kids everywherrrrre when I stayed. Made us feel like "we belonged." I loved how there was a family concierge beach with cabanas that were first come first serve. Overall, the trip was as expected. Decent all inclusive... The main buffet was just mediocre. Best to make reservations at the specialty restaurants. The staff was decent, did their job. I feel like only our family concierge went above and beyond. Everyone else pretty much just "did their job." We weren't blown away with a great stay, but it was a decent family trip as a whole. If the staff even pretended to go above and beyond, they could elevate everyone's experience. The property has a lot of potential...

    Perfect family resort!

Went to Paradisus end of April 2025. Family with two children 6 and 3. For a family with children of this age the resort was perfect. They were able to enjoy all of the entertainment that the resort had to offer. Loved the pirate ship pool, the water park, the beach, the shows and the kids club. We all thoroughly enjoyed the food offerings throughout the resort. Pop up food everywhere and the roomservice was a great option as well. We found the value in the family consierge option to be great. Having access to the extra pool and restaurant was worth it. We made full use of the added cenote excursion which was an awesome bonus. Getting reservations for dinners was made effortless thanks to Nestor our consierge who added even more to our stay. Change of reservations could be made with him through whatsapp allowing us to enjoy more family time. He ensured that we were well taken care of and several nights even left us some surprises in our room. He also made checkout a breeze coordinating baggage pickup. Would not travel here without it. The resort is very pretty love the fact that they have kept the natural beauty of the mangrove forest between the resort and the beach. The koi and turtle pond in the main area add to the claiming ambiance of the resort. Would definitely consider returning. Would recommend to any family with young kids considering a vacation.
