One bad apple ruins the whole bunch
We had an overall great experience until the last day. We had shuttle services booked with Amstar and was told be downstairs at the lobby at 9:30AM. We got downstairs a little after 9:30AM and was greeted by a bellboy. We didn't catch his name but he asked us if we checked out yet and we said no but we have scheduled shuttle service with Amstar. He took our luggage and said he would take it aside for us while we check out. We were a little late and by the time we checked out, it was 9:45AM. We handed the bellboy the check out paper we received from the front desk and he ushered us into a shuttle. After our luggage was packed into the shuttle, the driver of the shuttle gave us his phone with a google translation saying that since we were late for our original pick up time of 9:30AM, he would need a good tip in order to take us to the airport. We asked him what a good tip was and he said $40 USD. We scrambled looking for cash and the driver very quickly said don't worry, there's an ATM at the hotel. We reluctantly agreed and so we left the hotel resort. We didn't have a good feeling about how it happened and we started to reach out to Amstar personally and find out what happened. The representative from Amstar on the phone told us not to pay the driver as he is not supposed to ask for any additional tip. We find out that he wasn't an Amstar driver and actually is a driver for TransKema. We didn't question why the bellhop would put us into a shuttle service that wasn't Amstar after we told him that's who we have a driver with. We had such a good experience throughout our whole trip and we fully trusted all the staff. In the end, we believe the bellhop and the TransKema driver were trying to scam us. This is the reason we will not recommend any friends or family to stay at your resort. We will also not be coming back to your resort as well.

Great Value and Service
Taide at the bar was the best bartender, the lobby bar was the best and they took care of us the whole time. Great overall experience. Three great pools and amazing views from the room. Get a DJ for the adult pool! Would love to stay again when we are in Cabo.

Lobby bar service
Tadie ans Samuel at the lobby bar make the best scratch margaritas and their service go above and beyond. Would definitely come back because of them. And they made sure to send us on the way to the airport with a lovely good bye Margrita. These guys rock!

$150 for a replacement wrist band is crazy!
We are a group of 8 golfers all 55+. It’s a good facility, but if your wrist bracelet comes off, you’re forced to pay $150. USD for a replacement. Mine just came off in a pool, there was no reason other than it was defective or not put together properly by check in staff. You are required to sign a doc at check in accepting the $150 charge so if I come back, I won’t sign that and see what happens. It really put a damper on the trip.
