A beautiful family vacation
We have been to this resort, and others at the property for almost a decade now. We had a really great vacation! There seems to consistently be poor reviews about food and other things, which we did not experience. Our concierge Thaina was great and got us our preferred restaurant and reservation times every night (she did mention they added an earlier time slot which will hopefully assist with what reviewers complain about). We did find the service sometimes slow, but we’re traveling with someone with severe food allergies so that’s to be expected. The servers were on top of food allergies which was reassuring. Thaina brought cute touches for the kids, blew up our pool floats and overall made the trip very enjoyable. We highly recommend using a concierge, especially if it’s your first time at the resort. We’ve stayed at this property the last 3 times we’ve traveled to the area and we toured the property when it was being built. The resort is beginning to show some wear, which needs to be addressed to continue to maintain the luxury brand they work hard to promote. We did have some minor maintenance issues with our room which were addressed when we brought them up. We love the property, the restaurants and the service and we will be back again next year!

Best Vacation Ever
Paradisus Grand Cana was the best vacation we could have hoped for. We were able to truly get away and relax, with every detail coordinated and supported by our concierges Patry and Raul. They were AMAZING! They ensured we had reservations at our favorite restaurants, our room was stocked with beverages and snacks for the kids, and that we have a relaxing and worry free experience. Definitely recommend the family concierge if you had kids and will definitely come back!

Average stay!!
For the most part, we enjoyed our time at the Paradisus Grand Cana. The weather was great but I had some issues with my suite and the lobby. The first issue with my suite was the noise (toddlers running), that I was awakened to every morning during my 8 day stay. I paid a lot of money for the swim up suite, which is on the first floor, so switching rooms wasn't an option. The other issue was the smell of the furniture in my suite. Unfortunately, the "musty" smell reminded me of a men's locker room. My concierge, (Jenfry) was kind, patient, and attentive to my every need but unfortunately switching rooms wasn't an option. My final issue was the unclenliness of the lobby upon our arrival. It was disgusting!! (See attached photos) Returning to the Paradisus is not high on my list of things to do for my next vacation. Respectfully, Eric P.

Good news is I may have *lost* weight on vacation!
I’m not sure I’ve ever been so excited to *leave* a resort! The room was pretty and clean and the staff who worked at 32 degrees pool bar were great. Grounds are nice. But, the food was awful. And by awful I mean really really bad. Nearly inedible. Half the restaurants sit empty while there are no available reservations. The hours are hit or miss — don’t bother to go with the schedule. Getting silverware, waters, drinks, etc., is nearly impossible. It really ruined the trip, as we were all hungry all the time. They also regularly ran out of beach towels and had very little in the way of entertainment. 2/10. Would not recommend.
