First family vacation at Paradisus!
Amazing trip, amazing service! Special shout out to Eduardo Gamboa for taking care of us! He took the time to get to know our likes, dislikes and what we were looking for. He left sweet and personalized gifts for our kids in the room daily. Would definitely recommend Paradisus in Playa del Carmen if you’re looking for a great family vacation resort.

Amazing experience
We had an incredible experience! Became a part of the circle family which made our experience 10 fold better. We had Katya as our circle concierge and she was absolutely amazing! Would recommend a 1000%! We were at the adults only section and it was definitely better than we had anticipated.

Lovely stay!
My family and I recently took a trip to Paradisus Playa Del Carmen during spring break, dates 3/30-4/6. We loved the hotel grounds, beautiful and well kept. The hotel felt cleanly. Our hotel room was very nice, we had our own swim up pool which we loved. We were able to order coffee service to the room and hang out on the balcony on the pool while the kids were sleeping. The staff at the hotel were wonderful, so willing to help and friendly! The staff at the pool were absolutely excellent and so fun! We upgraded to the Family concierge service where you have your own checkin, access to a private pool, access to a separate lobby with snacks, drinks, coffee etc. we also had our own concierge person who handled our reservations. I wouldn’t say it’s absolutely necessary but was nice to have. Since we were there during spring break the main pool was very busy and loud with kids and families. Pool activities, music and things like that were all at the main pool. If you like that then it’s great but if you’re looking for more chill then I highly suggest upgrading to the Family Concierge where you have access to a more quiet pool and a pool bar with premium booze. We really loved that pool. Our biggest con would be the seaweed on the beach. It was so so bad that it was impossible to be in the water or even hang out on the beach because it smelled. This is all mother nature but something to be aware of during the time period. Overall we loved the hotel and would return.

Perfect family getaway
Amazing resort! I liked the layout of resort. Perfect for families and nice to have all restaurants in same area. Food was fantastic and options for kids at each restaurant. Family concierge was well worth it and Emmanuel was the best and helped us so much, was very communicative. Resos made beforehand and for our group of 10. Would go back for sure!!

This place sucks
I am at a loss to understand how this resort has a 4.5 rating on trip advisor. The resort is small. The buffet is tiny. It’s impossible to get a dinner reservation, even after paying up for concierge service. I’m staying with two young kids in the family section of the resort and incredibly loud music nearby makes it impossible for anyone to have peace and quiet before 11pm. There are decent activities for kids 6 and under but not aged 7 to 12. Such a letdown. Do yourself a favour and go somewhere else.
