    Spa experiences

I would like to thank Charlton for his professional work at the Zentropia Spa at the Grand Palladium Jamaica. He has golden hands and I met him in 2023 and I was happy that he’s still here. I can highly recommend his treatments that are above the standard of a hotel. He’s a great therapist and I’m happy that I had the chance to book appointments with him. Thanks a lot Charlton!!! I hope to see you next time again! Touria

    Average experience

This was my third time at this resort, and was a bit disappointed this time. I came with my 17 year old daughter who fondly remembered last time we stayed the daytime entertainment (there used to be a large People of Palladium group with a female on microphone doing lots of games with guests, another that organized pool games, and more). There was little to none of that this time. A couple of beach volleyball games, and I saw a small POP group talking with guests and that’s it. I also didn’t like having to wake up super early on vacation just to secure chairs by the main pool. There is also a roped off area for Signature guests which I feel is unfair given that Signature level already has their own pool and beach area. There would be more chairs and more space for us “regular” “unimportant” guests if that roped off area was made available for all. We stayed on Jamaica side, room was comfortable, bed and pillows comfortable, jacuzzi in bathroom was awesome. On Wednesday morning, mid way through our stay, my daughter was getting her hair done with cornrows and braids with extensions at zentropia… I can’t remember the braider’s name but she did an amazing job. When my daughter was having her hair done, I ate breakfast at the Blue Lagoon. This is the only time my daughter and I did not eat together, and that evening I became sick and she did not. Unfortunately the sickness continued for the next 2 weeks (still dealing with it even now) and lab results have confirmed salmonella. I do not know for sure that I contracted it at the Blue Lagoon but it is the only thing that makes sense since i got sick but my daughter didn’t because we ate all the same foods otherwise. Favorite moments of this trip were reuniting with our most favorite bestest ever bartender DOILEY MURRAY at the Sports Bar! Very friendly, big smiles, and made sure to take care of me when he discovered I was feeling unwell. I would give him 5 stars alone! He was the reason we chose to return to this resort in the first place! If not for our loyalty to him, we would have stayed somewhere cheaper. I wish he was placed in a better location like the swim up bar or las Brisas bar or the kool shady bar, so more guests can meet him and be served by him! We also loved meeting KEROME! Very sweet bartender who kept us company and brought drinks to us when we were taking cover from a heavy rain after taking pics on the beach by the main pool. We also loved the sunset at Poseidon restaurant (I recommend the jerk shrimp… so good!) Snorkeling at sunset cove was fun, though with murky waters due to frequent rainfalls, it wasn’t very clear water. We did get to see some fish chasing each other in and out or some coral reef which was really fun to watch! Nighttime entertainment was good, however since I started feeling unwell half way through, I wasn’t able to fully enjoy the night time entertainments. Michael Jackson show was good, as was the Las Vegas show, best was Reggae on the beach. The white party I was sick but we watched some of it. I didn’t enjoy the disco music that it started with but much of the crowd enjoyed it. Lots of public smoking and hookah at this resort. It can be hard to stomach at times but we made the best of it.
