Sadly not what we expected
Sadly the negatives outweigh the positives for us, we wouldn’t stay again, just because there is so much choice around. The location is obviously great, the Disney benefits again well worth it. Just be mindful how everything is chargeable, rooms small and quite old feeling… gym very small for the size of the hotel, would try swan reserve next time

A Timeless Gem That Only Improves With Age!
The Disney Swan Dolphin has been a favorite of our family for nearly 20 years. It was when our childen were toddlers and remains their favorite as our oldest enters her college years. Why? The Swan and Dolphin continue to evolve. Updated rooms, lobbies, restaurants, marketplaces.... constantly renovating and updating. It also has the most easy access to our favorite of the Disney parks - Hollywood Studios and Epcot - especially for those late night extra magic hours. Throughout the years - a welcome site is seeing employees at each property that have watched my children grow. There must be a reason why they've stayed employed at the same venue for so long - they love it as much as we do. Can't wait to get back. We travel the world - but it's the Disney Swan and Dolphin that remain our very favorite.

Flipper would be offended
The Marriott Dolphin & Swan properties are architectural monstrosities with an exterior color scheme that marries an unappealing shade of terra cotta with turquoise. I was asked at check-in whether I wanted daily housekeeping service. I acknowledged "yes" but it never showed up once during a 3 night stay. I requested a balcony room and was provided a room in the "west" tower (a significant trek from the bank of elevators). Overlooking the man made pond that separates the Dolphin & Swan resorts, I quickly learned that the reason no one every actually uses these balconies was that the hotel ventilation system is discharged in this area. So, every time you open the slider to access your balcony, you experience a 24/7 decibel level of the ventilation system that is akin to an idling jet engine. You quickly retreat back into your room. I was attending a conference which provided a weird juxtaposition of hundreds of men in suits in the lobby bar with children running around in pool wear. Food offerings were mediocre. Rosa mexicano served me an overcooked vegetarian omelette and a soggy quesadilla on separate occasions. My swordfish at Blue Zoo was "fishy". The grab-and-go option, Fuel, is a life-saver for in-room snacks (& alcoholic beverages) but the ham croissant sandwich and cheese pizza were barely edible. I haven't been in Orlando/Disney since I was a kid. I hope there's more to recommend this city than the Dolphin.

Great location
A beautiful hotel in a great lactation being round the back of both Epcot and Hollywood Studios. It is also very close to the boardwalk which is a really nice place to visit and it’s in walking distance to the mini golf too which I think is so fun. The transport from the hotel is especially excellent with boats, buses, Ubers easily ordered to the door, and walking distance to 2 parks and the skyliner! The decor in the lobby of the hotel is great and the shopping and food facilities are amazing! I like the fact that there are multiple pools - I got up early at 7am/8am most days and enjoyed the pools to myself! I think the rooms are a little dated and we had to move rooms on the first night due to the air con not working! When checking out, you pay the resort fee which really does add up over your stay so that put a bit of a damper view on the hotel but for the proximity to the parks and the ease of travelling around, I would recommend.

Engaging....
This review is for a visit, rather than a stay. While experiencing the water transport from Epcot to Hollywood Studios; we stopped here to explore the facility's interesting architecture, well-kept grounds, themed landscaping and seasonal decorations. The complex is well-maintained and nicely conceived. The resort's location, convenient to the Boardwalk and two Parks; makes for an engaging interlude, in one's traversing this section of the Disney bubble.
