Location, Location, Location!!
You are paying for the location, which is amazing. The skiing is fabulous and the ski valet is a convenient and wonderful amenity. The restaurants in the village are very good and provide plenty of options. The hotel provides complimentary hot chocolate and delicious chocolate chip cookies every evening- which my kids loved despite being teenagers. The lobby offers beautiful views of the mountain and a fun, energetic vibe. There are fantastic Aperol cocktails in the evenings which allow you to enjoy the spacious, comfy lobby space while doing the best people watching you’ve done in a long time. The place is dog-friendly which I loved as a dog person (wished I had brought mine). There are two spacious hot tubs and a large heated outdoor pool. The jets in the tubs were not working when we were there, but we still enjoyed the tubs. The fitness center is top notch with a wide array of equipment and beautiful view of the mountain. I had a great treatment at the spa. It’s not super luxe, but it’s nice. There are issues with the facility. For this price point, you expect some luxury such as a bar of soap in both the shower and the sink, functioning elevators, well maintained outdoor furniture near the pool, and responsiveness to issues when raised. People have complained in reviews about housekeeping. The cleaners do a very good job. The problem is how long it takes them to clean the rooms. It kept happening that they attempted to clean when we were just getting back to the room after a long day out. When we asked for earlier service, they assured us a time of 9:30am and then did not do it. Trying to address that was challenging, but when we finally got to speak to the Director of Housekeeping, she was lovely, kind, and worked hard to resolve the issue to our satisfaction, which she did. I will say that many other reviewers warned that the issue was the manager- German. We found that to be the case. He micromanages and does not empower staff to make decisions about comps or other issues without his approval. The thing is, his staff is competent and would be better able to provide a satisfactory guest experience without his stranglehold on them. We found them to be professional and kind, but not empowered to offer solutions.

Great Service - Comfortable Rooms
Balint and Fernando were amazing! They were professional & caring and went out of their way to assist us. The rooms are clean & cozy, with a new modern look. Shower is amazing and bed is super comfortable with quality new sheets. Pool and hot tubs were perfect, not overly crowded and you can swim in the pool during the winter. The Viewline is ski in/out and located right at the base. The hotel has amazing staff and everywhere we went we were greeted with great customer service. This will DEFINITELY be our pick the next time we return to Snowmass!

So much better than 2 years ago!!
My wife and I returned to the Viewline after two years. While we were initially hesitant, we love Snowmass and wanted to give the Viewline another chance after our first visit. Here are the positives that many others have mentioned: The location is fantastic, slopeside with easy access to the mall and buses to Aspen. The lobby, bar, and multiple outdoor fire tables were enjoyable. The ski valet was attentive, making it easy to hit the slopes. Our room was comfortable for two, with a balcony and a mountain view. It had ample space for gear storage, but for a family of four, it would be tight for clothes and outerwear. The bed was comfortable, and the temperature and hot water were consistent—both of which were issues during our last visit. We were moved to a different room then due to a malfunctioning thermostat, and the new one had spotty hot water. It seems they've worked hard to improve these aspects. The hot tubs were also properly heated this time—two years ago, they were more like cool bath water, and only one of the jets worked consistently. Still, it was nice to relax slope-side and chat with others after a day of skiing. The staff were pleasant, especially in the bar area. We didn't require much assistance, but when we did, they were helpful. As many staff members are seasonal, there may be some inconsistency during the early season while they train. Navigating the hotel is cumbersome, with multiple elevators to deal with. Most rooms require a fair amount of walking to reach the lobby or mall area. During busy times (9-10 a.m. and 3-4 p.m.), elevators can be packed, so don't expect to check in or out quickly. One bellman mentioned waiting 20 minutes for an elevator because it was always full. Overall, it was a great experience, and I would recommend it to others. However, I would offer some insights with that recommendation- given the high price, some may find it falls short of expectations. I would return, now knowing what to expect.

They need customer service lessons
Elevators are ultra busy causing you to use the stairs. At checkout elevator were not working so you take your luggage from the 4th floor down the stairs with no help from the staff. When we asked why elevators are not working, staff replied “there’s no money here”. Two days they didn’t do house keeping even though we told them 3 times. Booked Mountain View room and they gave me another view. I had to tell them I’m Marriott Platinun to have a room change. Being ski in ski out is great.

Best Ski In Ski Out Location
Excellent location for Ski In Ski Out. Best hotel location Snowmass. I was a bit nervous about staying here based on reviews but we had a 5 star experience. Front deck was attentive to our phone call needs. The Free hot cocoa and cookies for Happy Hour was delicious. The Free airport service was staff with friendly staff. The first level Free ski storage was super convenient and staff by really nice and friendly guys. The rooms were clean and temperate comfortable. Beautiful lobby overlooking mountain and chair lift. We would come back and recommend to others.
