Friendly staff and clean resort
A great hotel with friendly staff. Our room was clean and smelt fresh. There was plenty of space for us to spread out. We had no problems during our stay. Enjoyed the overall theme and ambiance of the resort. Everything worked as expected. For the value, it met our expectations.

Would def stay again.
First visit. Universal AP holders. Husband and myself. Stayed in several other Uni hotels. Only open just under a month so went into it with open mind. Picked for 1 night for price/ease, as we were going to be shopping in Orlando all day then Winter Garden the next. Also we weren’t going to Epic on Easter…..just needed a place to stay night. Positives: beautiful outside. property clean. literally Epic is across street. can see from window of room. inside minimal but tasteful. space themed but not corny. moon. (luna) staff friendly. food was better than others we’ve stayed in. although only around 25 tables, they were being wiped down by staff a lot. self serve pick your beverage machines. resort mugs. If you order a regular drink, it is good for refills for one hour while you are in the dining area. So that was nice. We did notice people using that, however, to fill up their large personal mugs so they would not have to pay. Not sure that can be controlled. Our phone GPS took us right to it. Room very spacious and loved color vibe. had everything you’d need except micro. that’s in dining area. great shower pressure. hot water too. buses go to all parks. pool area looked beautiful. tons of chairs. a bar. a hot tub. movie shown each night on a screen. can see from pool or deck side. life guards. swim jackets for kids. standing “rinse first “shower by hot tub. well lit at night. lots of seating outside to eat. umbrellas etc. gift shop l w/ sundries and decent souvenirs from epic park. negatives: not many. but. had to speak to mgr (Nathan) re kids in hot tub w/ floats, beach ball, long boogie /surf board, noodles…. sign there says no kid under 12 without adult. it’s 104. no child should be in it. period. it’s not a pool for your kids bc the regular pools “too cold”. it’s heated. no drinks supposed to be in /around it.there were. after a long day, I was really looking forward once I saw the hot tub, to just sitting on the side and putting my feet in. But that was not able to happen because of all the kids smashing around and drinks literally surrounding the wet deck. In my opinion, this is unsafe and unacceptable as a hot tub should be for adults, not children period. mobile/online check-in is pointless unless there’s a separate que to check in. Had to wait in the regular line with everyone else, which doesn’t make any sense. The other Universal hotels have a mobile check in separate line or a kiosk. not many handicap parking spaces so we were told to use a handicap spot in the short term parking If there was not one. That however wouldn’t help anyone who needed that to check in, they might need to actually put some more handicap places out front. We would def stay again . Universal is great about having good deals so I would stay again.

Stay away!
Horrible hotel. Clearly needs to continue to refine its process. First, my kids both scraped bottom of their feet in the pool - said there were sharp edges everywhere. Took 20 mins to get band aids from the front desk. Address still isn’t correct in Apple or Google, causing massive issues with Uber and DoorDash drivers. They only service rooms every other day - a dumb concept for a two day stay, not to mention the fact it should be flagged in their rate. Took a decent amount of time to get to/from resort via bus. I’d choose nicer property if I return to Universal…..though I doubt a return as Disney has much better value proposition.

Lights go on automatically ALL night it is exhausting
Don’t expect to sleep. Don’t expect management to care. We been here 4 days of 7 complained every day/night due continuous issues with the lights. Appears to be a known issues with lights automatically turning on ALL night. Had maintenance in at 4 AM and still had to request daily directly to a manager to it be fixed everyday, was assured today electrical manager would have it fix it today. No success. We spoken to three different managers - also no maid services at all in 3 days. Finally today we got a different room. It’s exhausting and extremely frustrating. Truly ruined our first family vacation to universal as we are too exhausted to enjoy a full day at the parks.

4 nights at Terra Luna!
I’ve had the best time at the new Terra Luna Resort. My husband and kids gave me an early Mother’s Day gift so that I could enjoy Universal without being in mom mode! I arrived frazzled from my GPS sending me all over creation due to construction. From the moment I stepped in I was at ease. The front desk people were so kind, empathetic and full of knowledge! My room was clean and relaxing. There are motion sensor lights that you will probably read in every review! Yes, they are distracting when sleeping. Especially if you move a lot like I do! I have know doubt they are already working on a solution for that. In the meantime a sleep mask might be helpful. The market and cafe have wonderful choices. I had the salmon bagel, chicken salad sandwich, chocolate croissant and some of the giant cookies. I enjoyed it all. The cost is higher but expected. I think most everything was $12 except the bakery items. On the other side there is a grill. The Terra Luna burger is mouth watering delish! I ordered room Service one night and had the hot honey chicken pizza and garlic knots. It was huge for one person and I snacked on my leftovers the next day. Again, delivered quickly and hot! I did not have one bad thing. The employees at those locations were also so kind and patient. I watched them handle some Pretty high maintenance folks. The pool has ample seating with lots of umbrellas. They also have towels for you as well. The shuttle ride is probably about 15 minutes to City Walk. So if you’re a rope dropper plan accordingly. Oh, they also have an outdoor bar and grill and an indoor bar. I didn’t try those out but I’m sure they are great. There is also a cute store with merch for the new Epic park. They also have an area for all those things you forget. I forgot my razor and paid $2 for a basic Bic. I was grateful they sold them. Overall, I would stay here again and bring my family. I’ve had better food and service at this value resort than some hotels where I’ve paid two and three times the cost! Can you hear people in other rooms? Yes. But I’ve never been at a hotel where you couldn’t hear little kids or even big kids running down the hallways. I go into these situations with the right expectations. This is a value resort ideal for family’s with kids.
