Unfriendly to solo travelers
The good: They let me checkin early, rooms are spacious, facilities are good. The bad: USB chargers don’t work in the room, a light didn’t work, extractor fan didn’t work, bathroom door lock didn’t work, it takes great strength to turn the handle to work the shower. The worse: the guy on the ticket desk made snide remarks about solo travelers. I went to the sand bar, the barman was friendly and got me a stool but as soon as I sat down the girl near me dragged her stool away obviously not wanting to talk to me which is fine but she made me uncomfortable for no reason. The bar man continued to chat to her, it would’ve been kinder to talk to me and make me feel welcome after seeing that interaction, I felt intimidated drank my beer quickly and left.

Good budget hotel
Stayed in several hotels in Orlando but I would go back to this one. Convenient for shops and places to eat breakfast. We did eat a couple of times in the hotel and it was reasonably priced with a few vegetarian options. The rooms were adequate and comfortable. We were a family of 4 with 2 grown up children.Beds were comfortable. I didn't have problem with bedding as it was 35c so didn't really require blankets. I noticed Walgreens across the road sold fleece throws for a couple of dollars. I bought cereal to have breakfast some mornings but as other people have said the plastic dishes and spoons are rubbish but this is common in America they don't seem to care about plastic waste ☹️ The area was fine not my favourite part of the I Drive but the I Trolley stopped outside and we went to Icon park most evenings. The trolley stops outside the carpark and you can take a shortcut through there to get to the hotel if the little gate is shut . Drinks at the bar were very expensive. Altogether this is a good hotel well placed for visiting universal. Amenities are good and everywhere was clean.

The perfect hotel for Universal and Orlando Vacation
Great Orlando Hotel. Clean rooms, friendly and helpful staff, Starbucks in the lobby, free shuttles to universal studios, huge pool, great game room and activities. On top of all that a great value and competitive price. We had an excellent stay here and can't wait to come back!

We had an awesome time
Second time we have stayed at this hotel and it has everything that you will need for your stay in Orlando. The facilities are great, the pool is great, there is a shop, bar, Gym and a Starbucks on site. There isn't a fancy restaurant but there is an area where you can order food both for Breakfast, Dinner and Tea and sit down and eat what you ordered, eat outside or take it back to you room. The choice is not bad and does change daily. However you are not far from fast food outlets and some restaurants which you can walk too. Last time we booked adjoining rooms which was great, this time we thought we would upgrade to a suite ... not really worth it. The room was bigger and had 3 double beds with one in a separate room within the suite. But there was only one small single wardrobe and one toilet and shower, so for 5 adults and one 16 year old, there was often a queue to use them. And without enough wardrobes we found ourselves living out of our suitcases. That aside, we had a good time and the free transport to the universal parks was a blessing. This is our 7th time holidaying in Florida and i am going to do a separate review with my top 10 tips for getting the best from this holiday ... keep a look out on Trip Advisor ... coming soon

Surprised!
I stayed in at Universal's Endless Summer Resort last weekend. It was a last minute decision and was at the lower end of the price options for parks so I gave it a whirl. I was so so surprised by how awesome it was. We had a 2 bedroom suite and ate in the little dining hall area. Food was great, stay was comfy, it was clean, and the staff was helpful. Would recommend others stay there!
