Not worth the savings
Not worth trying to save a few $$. The beds are rocks and only have sheets on them, no top blanket, so we had to turn up the room temp to 75 so we wouldn’t freeze all night. We had a 2 bedroom suite and we were told we had to run the sinks for at least 5 minutes if we wanted a hot shower. The room also had a noticeably stinky smell when we arrived, almost like dirty feet or bad food. Bring your own waters, the bottles in the cafe are over $7 each! The TVs don’t have streaming service options and one of ours kept blacking out every 1-2mins so we gave up trying to watch anything. On the plus side, the pool, starbucks and shuttle services are convenient.

A gem of a hotel
This place is amazing. It has everything you need at reasonable prices. The staff are absolutely brilliant and couldn’t do enough for us. The pool is a lovely area and the buses to universal/volcano bay were frequent. The Starbucks in the lobby was a godsend for morning coffee. We had a 2 bedroom suite on the top floor and it was very quiet as I’d heard this hotel was noisy, we didn’t experience that so if it might be a problem for some people I suggest requesting a high floor room. For a value resort it was amazing and we are definitely staying here again l!

Great Stay at Universal's Surfside Inn and Suites
I recently stayed at Universal’s Surfside Inn and Suites and had a really positive experience overall. I was in one of the rooms in Tower 1, and it was lovely – spacious, modern, and very clean. The housekeeping staff did a great job maintaining the room and the entire hotel, which added to the overall comfort of the stay. The front desk staff were especially friendly and helpful, always ready with a smile and eager to assist with any questions or requests. Their excellent customer service really stood out. The hotel’s shuttle buses to Universal Studios were fantastic – regular, efficient, and hassle-free. It made getting to the parks really easy. The location is another plus. It’s within walking distance to a variety of restaurants on International Drive, including Chili’s and Buffalo Wild Wings, as well as many other great dining options, which was perfect for after a long day at the parks. On our stay, we also used the restaurant for breakfast one morning just before it was closing. While the selection was good, we did feel that the pancakes could have been a little hotter. That said, it was still a nice start to the day, and the staff were very accommodating. The pool area was another highlight. It was a great place to relax after a busy day at the parks. The pool was well-maintained, and there were plenty of comfortable lounge chairs to enjoy the Florida sunshine. The only downside during our stay was an issue with the emergency alarm one night at around midnight. The alarm kept sounding for about 45 minutes, and we were told to await instructions. Thankfully, it turned out to be a false alarm, but it was a bit unsettling at the time. Some better communication during that period would have been reassuring. Despite that, I’d still highly recommend Universal’s Surfside Inn and Suites for anyone visiting the area. It’s a comfortable, clean, and convenient place to stay, and the friendly staff made all the difference!

Just ok
It’s just ok. We won’t stay again. The hotel was small and the food options were very limited. They didn’t have an indoor bar. We did have to call customer service is in the middle of the night. Teenagers running up and down the hall, family above us running/ stopping sounded like they were playing a football game, and the kids in the room next door screaming. All of this going on at the same time for about an hour. I finally had enough and called the desk. They sent security and got everything under control within 10minutes so that was very appreciated. We have stayed at the Dockside before and we like that hotel better.
