Great Pool, Great Quick Food, Great View
Besides some issues checking in, my family and I had a great time staying here. It had beautiful views of the city and the Pier 8 market had some really delicious and quick food. The busses ran fast from the park and back. Despite the crazy spring break crowds this hotel was still able to give us a great time. Loved just sitting by the pool and the views of the hotel don’t disappoint.

Well Appointed for Families
Well appointed rooms for family travel. We booked a suite, which had the third bed in its own small room. This was handy for getting the kids to bed first. Lots of hooks for storage kept the chaos under control. A microwave, mini fridge, coffee pot and table made quick meals doable. Noise at night was a problem- so bring your sound machines. I’m guessing it’s the HVAC system, because I’m sure no one would be doing construction at 3am- but it was bad. On night 1, I had a kid wide awake from 3-5 hearing it all. I had woken several times myself, hearing what sounded like a bowling ball drop above us. On the second night I called the front desk around 8 when my kids went down and the sounds started. It was a better night- although I also cranked white noise up in both rooms. The pool/ sand areas are great and set up well. I’d bring some pool toys next time. There are on-site food options that seemed decent and affordable, as well as food delivery options all around. Food allergy families may struggle. As a vegan family, we weren’t able to find anything here- or really have any conversations about dietary needs with the staff. The rooms have food storage space that works well though- we had plenty of space to organize pb& j for the parks and microwave nuggets after a late park day.

LOUDEST hotel on the planet
The hotel itself is nice with large, clean rooms and the food court surprisingly had good food. BUT, this is the WORST stay I've ever had in ANY hotel. The walls are paper thin. I heard every conversation; every toilet flush; every door slam; every person in the hall; every crying baby. ALL. NIGHT. LONG. I even flew out of bed at midnight to open my door to say something to the people in the hallway. It sounded like they were at either end of the hall yelling to each other. Once I opened the door, I was surprised that it was 3 people walking down the hall speaking in a normal tone of voice. For some reason every sound from the hall is amplified. I heard more than one guest complain at the front desk in the mornings. Any request for a room change was met with "Sorry, we're completely booked." Several large school groups were there with unchaperoned teenagers running around knocking on doors. It was hell. I cannot recommend this hotel to anyone who expects to actually get some sleep.

Definitely not disabled friendly!
Arrived at the hotel. Both my daughter and I are disabled, she in a wheelchair me suffering from MS. 1st off we asked for help with luggage. Oh we don’t help will do it for you as an exception. Check in exceedingly slow . Then man bought us a luggage cart. Now bearing in mind we are Not able to walk/push anything. Again drilled into us this was an exception with help pushing it. Suite ok beds uncomfortable, little storage space. Then there was the bathroom with a brown stain on the floor . Ugh. Walls thin. Upstairs kids running around til about 10 am. Lots of shrieking in corridor as well Then on to housekeeping which was appalling. Had to ask for room to be serviced as by 3pm it had not. Today as I sit here waiting for it to be serviced again I have been told 3 different times. No one wants to take responsibility. So please management do not respond by saying I should bring it to your attention as a). You do listen, b) queues too long for disabled person to stand and wait in line to talk to you. Do not visit

Good choice
We stayed in a 6th floor room for five nights. We didn't have a great view, so a first floor room would have been much more convenient and preferable, but we didn't know all that at check-in. Staff texted during a couple of days asking if we needed anything. We received extra towels a couple of times. The food at Pier 8 is pretty good. I recommend the chopped Italian sandwich. We hit the pizza button on the phone one night for dinner. The wait was 1.5 hours, but it was good. The pool isn't very deep, but it is well kept and the sand beach is fun. The ride to City Walk and Universal isn't very long and the busses come regularly. One of the elevators was down for the first four nights of our stay and check in took a little while because we didn't have access to mobile checkin ahead of time. Definitely do that if you have the option. The on-site gift shop has some nice items.
