I feel like I’m on a desert island with no hope of rescue.
Arrived a couple of hours ago, and not impressed. I understand that checkin is at four and it’s Delta’s fault for only having one nonstop flight from Boston to Kansas City that gets in at 9:30 am. But it’s baffling to me that the front desk can’t provide at least an ETA of when your room will be ready. Will it be two hours? Will it be six? Throw someone a bone and don’t be offended when we very politely ask if there’s any update after waiting for two hours and give attitude. At least throw in a free drink or something while we flounder around aimlessly in your lobby with no idea of how long we’ll be stranded. I added a star for the staff at One East who are wonderful, and who were able to tell me that it would be at least a 15 min wait for a table when I asked.

They made my Air Force retirement awesome!
They took care of my friends and family exceptionally for my retirement from the Air Force after 27 years! From rooms to event space to breakfast, they absolutely were the best! Ms. Brown, Alissa, Joanna, Dennis, Pepe! They cared for us so much, rhanks!

great hotel
We had a lovely stay at this hotel. The room was cleaned and smelled clean - something that is so important to me. Tanner at the front desk was amazingly kind every time we saw him. Jennifer, Jay and Tonja at the bar were amazing, too. Indeed, I have not seen a hotel bar/restaurant staff as happy as this group. Even the morning breakfast cashier was super kind and efficient. She worked alone but was on top of it nonstop -- even with early morning historians (we can be cranky). I highly recommend this hotel but do hope the wifi system can be improved. It was super slow.

convenient for families!
Love that the hotel is right next to the link and Union Station. Great for a family. Easy walking distance to lots! Is this the newest or greatest hotel? probably not. You do pay for convenience but totally worth it to us! The lobby and waterfall area DO have the "wow" factor.

Dissappointing
Our trip started with a three hour flight delay. We called the hotel to ensure we would have our room when we arrived after 2:00 am Friday morning. The night auditor stated no one had noted our call and scrambled to find us a room (eventually given a handicapped room). We were out of the room early for commitments and I asked the room attendant to be sure to clean our room before noon. The upper floor lounge room was well-hidden despite a sign in one of the elevators. The downstairs lounge for breakfast was crowded and out of coffee. We returned to change before going to the Negro Leagues Museum and again asked a room attendant to clean the room. We wandered the shopping mall for a little while and they had lots of interesting shops and restaurants. Returning from the Museum and the Royals game, our room had not been touched. We left early Saturday morning; before 6:00 am, and were told that the room was not checked in for Thursday. She had a difficult time providing a folio with charges for reimbursement. The room itself was nice and had a wonderful view of the park below the World War I Museum It was very convenient for our commitments. The bell staff was very friendly in the morning when we were leaving.
