Beautiful Historic hotel in a well-kept area
This Grand Dame of a hotel is feeling a little tired but is still beautiful. The handsome lobby needs plaster repairs and the mismash of Greco+Art Deco+ MidCentury modern decor mixed with the techno pop music feels slightly off-kilter like they weren’t sure if they were preserving or modernizing. Only one elevator worked at the time. The ice maker on our floor was not working. The rooms are clean, well appointed with a small fridge (no micro) and reasonable toiletries. Valet parking is a bit steep but worth it for a day. The restaurants (1 full serve, one more of a coffee shop/cafe) are fine but not what I would have expected. In its heyday this would have been a sight to see with guys and dolls coming and going. Now it just a lovely old lady holding her head proud.

An older but renovated hotel
Hotel is very clean and staff were friendly. Hotel rooms are very small with no desks or chairs in the room. Ate breakfast and lunch at the hotel and it was very good. Stopped at hotel bar for drinks and it was extremely short staffed. Waited over 1/2 hour for service before moving on to a place that provided great service.

No elevator
We checked in and there was only service elevator working. We had to walk through stinky musty halls to get to an elevator and rooms the room was very tiny with cigarette burn marks on desk. It overlooked a brick wall. We had booked 2 nights but cked out in the morning, just not nice. The only good thing was the great bartenders at the bar. Kudos to them for making an awful stay better

Westin - shame on you
An old run-down hotel - a total rip-off. Main elevators were 'out-of-order' the entire weekend; (this was an OSU football home game weekend; plus, several wedding parties) - no attempt to get them fixed, hotel staff made no attempt to help anyone with their luggage. Had to use the service elevator or stairs which was dirty and smelly - cost for what you got was criminal. Then to gouge you more - they charged you for parking (park yourself or valet was same price - since the lot required you to walk 3/4's of a block to get into the hotel - I used valet). The valet attendants hardly spoke English; were slow, and never held the doors for the women - again second-rate service for a premium price. Rooms were small, not clean. At night there were more security guards than employees - that should tell you about the location and surroundings. Save your money - stay at a Comfort Inn, it will be cleaner, safer, and the staff more attentive.

Great!
We have stayed at plenty of Westin hotel chains and this one did not disappoint . The room was very nice and the location was great. Everyone we encountered from the first moment we arrived was so friendly and welcoming. We had some awesome drinks and food at the restaurant. Would recommend to anyone to stay here!
