No elevator
We checked in and there was only service elevator working. We had to walk through stinky musty halls to get to an elevator and rooms the room was very tiny with cigarette burn marks on desk. It overlooked a brick wall. We had booked 2 nights but cked out in the morning, just not nice. The only good thing was the great bartenders at the bar. Kudos to them for making an awful stay better

Westin - shame on you
An old run-down hotel - a total rip-off. Main elevators were 'out-of-order' the entire weekend; (this was an OSU football home game weekend; plus, several wedding parties) - no attempt to get them fixed, hotel staff made no attempt to help anyone with their luggage. Had to use the service elevator or stairs which was dirty and smelly - cost for what you got was criminal. Then to gouge you more - they charged you for parking (park yourself or valet was same price - since the lot required you to walk 3/4's of a block to get into the hotel - I used valet). The valet attendants hardly spoke English; were slow, and never held the doors for the women - again second-rate service for a premium price. Rooms were small, not clean. At night there were more security guards than employees - that should tell you about the location and surroundings. Save your money - stay at a Comfort Inn, it will be cleaner, safer, and the staff more attentive.

Great!
We have stayed at plenty of Westin hotel chains and this one did not disappoint . The room was very nice and the location was great. Everyone we encountered from the first moment we arrived was so friendly and welcoming. We had some awesome drinks and food at the restaurant. Would recommend to anyone to stay here!

Awful / Terrible / Service a Zero / Hotel is BAD.....
Stayed there for a seminar, but have stayed there before several times when in the area. Hotel is a bit outdated (we could live with that), drafty (we could live with that), and the staff can be pretty inexperienced (we can even live with that). But this time took the cake: Valet parked car. Had a major hassle getting it in the AM. A few weeks later we got a ticket that said the car had been parked in a no parking zone. Called the hotel and spoke to "supervisor" Megan who assured us that happened a lot and she'd take care of the ticket. Assumed it was taken care of and several months later got a collections letter from a law firm collecting for the parking violation. Called back the hotel and spoke to "Veronica" who said Megan was not authorized to take care of that and she could only refer me to the parking concession. It was not made clear to us that this was not part of the hotel. Tried to call the parking concession and got no response. Tried back at the hotel and they said they couldn't do anything. Called Marriott and talked to them and they said they could only refer me to the hotel. So, DON'T USE THE HOTEL---its not that nice anyway and the service is atrocious. AND....we won't be using Marriott properties at all until this is taken care of. Last we heard they were crediting us a bunch of points, but they haven't appeared yet and its not worth chasing. Also---complaining to the city, the parking authority, the Columbus BBB, etc. Awful and not what you'd expect from Marriott. Marriott you are known by the company you keep. Dump this hotel before it turns off too many more patrons of your brands.

Fine Stay, Horrific Valet Experience
the hotel is beautiful and our experience within the building itself was great. we were there for a wedding and valeted our car the whole weekend. a month later, we received a parking ticket for our car being parked in the valet lot. I contacted the hotel, and they told me not to worry about the ticket because they were having issues with their lot cameras at that time, and several people were issued tickets in error. another month later, I received a collections notice for the parking ticket. I reached out to the hotel again, who told me they could not help me because the valet is run by a third-party company. It is ridiculous how unhelpful everyone has been.
