    Absolutely awful, staff exceptionally rude!

Come here if you want exceptionally rude customer service and a level of ignorance from the coffee shop staff that is beyond anything I can put into words. No house keeping as we’d allegedly had our DND on for the 4 days we were here (we did not) and the restrooms in the courtyard hadn’t been cleaned or replenished since Christmas 2023 let alone 2024. When checking in it seemed perfectly acceptable to be dropped off in the basement, which is fine except it’s impossible to get in without a keycard and the intercom doesn’t work! When checking out the rudeness of staff here extends to not caring about my accessibility needs and I was told that despite a disability I would need to take my luggage down the street as a taxi to the basement “was not an option”. Put my concerns in email to management prior to checking out. This has been ignored.

It was good but these extra costs and the price of water was a bit too much of a surprise.

We are world travelers. This is the first hotel where we were charged extra for arriving an hour before and getting in the room an hour earlier. My point is the hotel has that room reserved for its travelers, so how does arriving just an hour ahead one has to pay extra. Also most hotels provide one bottle of water free. At Royal Sonesta a bottle of water costs $8. Hotel wise great location, clean and nice.

No room! Suspect it was sold to a Swifty who paid hundreds of dollars more. Several others also had NO ROOM.

We arrived at about midnight, Saturday, October 26, 2024. We had a reservation. My wife had called and confirmed. NO room. Instead, given a marginal room at Marriot though Royal Sonesta paid. Never again though often a nola visitor! Poor experience!!

    Beautiful hotel

Hotel is lovely and staff were very nice especially Caleb and Wade. It’s convenient that it’s on Bourbon street but can also annoying bc you can hear base and music all night even if you’re in the back of the hotel as we were. If you’re not one who can sleep through noise, I wouldn’t recommend this place. Had to watch the Tyson fight on my phone bc they didn’t have smart tvs in the room. It was one of the most remedial tvs I have seen in a long time. Trying to charge anything bedside was a challenge. The outlets are very loose. Barely stayed plugged in. Bathroom is decent but there wasn’t hot water during our three day stay in Nov so that was a bummer.

    Beautiful hotel on Bourbon Street

A beautiful hotel on Bourbon Street ! That captures the spirit of this hotel. We were there while they were decorating for the holidays, and that added to its ambiance. Driving to the hotel was a bit of challenge--Bourbon street before a football game, construction street closures, etc.--but we persevered and succeeded. Parking was well managed. We arrived at 1:30pm and was offered a choice of "early checkin" for $70 or wait until 4 pm--neither being very satisfactory. We had a room at the back of the hotel, and it was quiet. No breakfast, but Cafe du Monde is a great backup.
