Call it Disney World
Beautiful hotel. Fantastic service. Food on all levels is top notch. Rooms are lovely. Location is perfect. But. The place is overrun with children. You will find fewer loud obnoxious screaming children at Disney world. The hotel caters to children more than adults. That’s all fine if they would at least offer an adults only pool. Section of the beach for adults only. A restaurant that doesn’t specialize in grilled cheese and chicken strips. If you want a nice quiet couples Caribbean getaway. This isn’t the place.

Staff makes the stay a 5-star stay
This is a beautiful hotel on a beautiful island, but what makes the stay remarkable is the staff. From the pool staff to the wait staff to the cleaning crew or outdoor maintenance crew walking by and saying good morning, it is clear friendliness and customer service is ingrained in all of them. Everyone appeared to do their best to help us even if it was not their responsibility, especially when accommodating requests. One person who exemplified this and I want to single out was Javier our bartender. First, his cocktails were incredible and creative, and if you engaged him he had a story of past experience that led him to that unique recipe. In truth, he is not a "bartender", but a mixologist. But even beyond that, he was so engaging and answered questions and personalized our experience that had my brother say to me "that may have been one of the best night's we've ever had out, Javier was amazing." We felt like we had made a very good friend, with a memory that will stay with us forever. I wish I had more names, but at least as I see there are GM responses to reviews here, the feedback overall and especially for Javier will hopefully get noticed. For other travelers, if you want to feel like you are part of an extended family (in a large and very beautiful house!), go stay at the Ritz.

Relaxation A+
We have stayed at the Ritz Grand Cayman for the past ten years plus and for each guest it’s a unique experience. We have consistently given this hotel 5stars based on our families experiences and it was again a fantastic stay. We are early risers so getting beach chairs is no problem. We spent the majority of each day swimming, reading a book in the chairs, getting lunch or just relaxing. There were some groups enjoying conferences while we were there but the hotel did an excellent job keeping the majority of the resort space available for just regular guests . We ate lunch most days at either St June or Andiamo to get a break from the beautiful weather and consistently had excellent meals. Most dinners we also did at the hotel and also ate at Seven. Every meal was outside and lovely. We picked up bagels, fruit and coffee/oj locally and ate on the beach. A small injury kept us from pickleball and tennis this year but we played golf and went swimming in the ocean at least three times each day, we had perfect weather and enjoyed every sunset. Those were our “experiences” and they were all 5 star. There are so many other things to do, and in previous years we did many of them as well and they were also great, this was our plan this year since none of our adult children could make it this year. We were able to not rent a car or use a taxi except getting back and forth from the airport. We had breakfast one day at the Westin and dinner one day at Luca. If you are looking for these type of experiences the Ritz is A+ and the staff even better. We work very hard the rest of the year but this is the ultimate in relaxation. Thank you Ritz!

Amazing vacation!
My wife and I just spent 5 nights at this property and this was our 2nd time staying here. Service was spectacular. The entire staff was polite, friendly and accommodating. They go above and beyond to make sure you are having a great stay. Attendants at the beach and pool are great! The gym is very nice size with all state of the art equipment. The hotel is very big so you will do some walking back and forth when you are heading out to dinner depending on where your room is located. Taikun Japanese restaurant located off the lobby is excellent. We have stayed at several Ritz properties and this was clearly our favorite and is top notch!!! Look forward to going back.

Trip Gone Wrong - Not Up to RC Standards
Horrible management and service not up to Ritz-Carlton standards. We are a lifetime platinum elite Marriott Bonvoy family and spent a week at this property during the December holiday. A large beach cabana was improperly secured on the beach and inverted/landed on me, a hotel guest laying on a beach chair. Beachfront staff, front desk team, head of loss & prevention and ultimately the General Manager were made aware. The team tried to downplay the incident, force us to pay for the on call doctor visit as a result of the incident, and ruin the remainder of our stay. No one was sympathetic or apologetic - rather downplaying the incident. I am now left with permanent damage as a result of the incident. Really horrible experience out of the country and caution others whom may want to enjoy a nice holiday in the sun with their family to think twice on selecting here.
