Booked a quiet District 3 pool view room but instead got a noisy District 1 city view room
In early November 2024, I booked and received confirmation for a pool view room in District 3 for a one-night stay in December 2024 at the Linq hotel. After reading various reviews, I learned that the pool view rooms in District 3 are generally the quietest, unlike the noisy city view rooms in District 1 that face the Carnival Court event stage area, where loud music is played from 6 PM to 3 AM every night. When I checked in at an automated kiosk machine in the hotel lobby, I was given a District 1 city view room instead of the District 3 pool view room that I had booked. Already tired from my travels, I decided to give this room a try. The reviews I had read weren't wrong—the music from the Carnival Court events was very loud and clear, blasting into the District 1 city view room I had on the 10th floor. By midnight, after not being able to get any sleep due to the loud music, my daughter went down to the front desk to ask if we could change to a quieter room. The front desk person was rude and basically said, "No, you picked that room and it should have been self-evident what you were getting into." We certainly didn't pick that room. She came back to the room very disappointed, and we put on our earplugs, which helped a lot so we could get some sleep. The only thing we found decent about the room was that the two beds were comfortable. The next morning, right before checking out at 11 AM, I decided to ask the front desk—another person was there this time—why we weren't assigned a District 3 room that I had booked. She didn't have an explanation for what happened but offered to give me a $40 room credit that could be used at some of the hotel's restaurants, such as Dunkin Donuts, the Nook. However, she said the room credit expires at check-out time, so it was essentially worthless as it was almost 11 AM when the credit was given. I wish hotel management would invest in upgrading the windows in the District 1 city view rooms to soundproof windows, which would make customers' stays more enjoyable instead of being a terrible noisy experience like the one my daughter and I had.

Quick weekday visit
Check in process was quick and efficient, and we found our room to be very quiet and comfortable. Getting downstairs to the casino and shops was easy with multiple escalator options and we found no issues with the room other than the sliding wooden door which was not soundproof and sometimes would slide open again if you didn’t close it hard enough. But this minor issue was not enough to keep us from staying there again.

Resort Fee for What?
Good location but off putting resort fee of $50 per night. Pool was closed and no need for paying for WiFi in room as cell service was good. Even a couple of water bottles would have made me feel better. Just build it into the price for goodness sake. We’re obligated to pay it anyway! Room was clean and cozy but dark. Bath had wall-attached soap pumps. Location is good, right in the action on the Strip.

Rooms are very dirty.
Staff was great, and location is good, but room was filthy. There is mold in the bathroom, the exhaust fan barely works so roof is bubbling, also hair on roof. Floors were dirty with hair in bathroom, and carpet was also dirty. Lots of dust as well, picture frame is showing where I wiped dust with my finger. Beds did not have fitted sheets, just a top sheet thrown over top of them, and blankets were stained. Will not stay here again.
