Unexpectedly wonderful experience
I'm not usually resort person, but the Fives really does such a great job that we really enjoyed our stay. The food was excellent, especially Arezzo. It's was restaurant quality. Even the buffet was good. All the staff were very nice and helpful. The Fives has really done it well where it's spread out and you're not crowded around everyone. It's also the little thoughtful touches like putting out coffee by the pool in the afternoon and the beautiful cenote. It was really a wonderful experience. We are looking forward to coming back again with the rest of our family.

Incredible Roof Top Terrace Hatha Yoga Experience In Paradise
Deb Taylor from Debtaylor Life was incredible! She lead the root top Hatha yoga experience with her whole heart. You couldn’t have asked for a more connected and incredible yoga class. She brought unique movements to the class that I as a person who have practiced yoga for 17 years have never been exposed to. Thank you Deb 🙏🏼

Lucy was the best part of our time the Fives.
We just returned from a short five day visit to the five beachfront resort and residences and had a fantastic time. One of the reasons it was so fabulous was Lucy, our ambassador at the fives. She provided everything we requested, and Moor. We are now planning a return visit with our entire family to use one of the three bedroom suite walk out into the pool. This is our new go to resort for the near future. We loved the food; we loved the fun; we loved the pools and we loved the oceanfront. We are excited to have Lucy as our ambassador again, because she provided everything that we wanted. Thank you, Lucy and thank you fives.

Restaurants and Service are terrible
We have been to The Fives twice before and returned because we enjoyed it so much - great food, great service, great overall experience. Well - that has all changed! We did have an enjoyable time as a family and group of friends spending our days together. However, the excellent service that we experienced in the past was non-existent. There were lines everywhere you went - bars, restaurants, bali beds. The bartenders at the pool bar were rude and did not know how to make even basic drinks. For example, I ordered mojitos 3 different times and each tasted differently and NONE actually tasted like a mojito. I reserved a bali bed for Friday on Wednesday, then had to stand in line for 40 minutes to actually obtain my bed on Friday. And the absolute worst in the restaurants! No reservations at any of them and you have to wait forever unless you are first in line when they open. Even then, the members will run you over because they supposedly have a reservation. You would order an appetizer, salad and entree and they would just come out randomly - some would get the appetizer and others would get the salad; one time the entrees came out before anything else. We started a drinking game to see what would out first and who would get what (we had to have a little fun withe dismal situation) One evening at Koh Tai, the hostess took our name and told it would be 2 hours. 3 hours later, we discovered that she skipped our name and seated 5 other groups ahead of us. We did finally sit down to a nice meal; however, I complained to the ambassadors and they gave our group a reservation at the Mexican restaurant the next night. The dinner at the Mexican restaurant was complete train wreck. They were not ready to seat us at our reservation time and had to wait 20 min for a table, then all of our entrees were delayed because they had no chicken - really?? Then we another horrible experience at the French restaurant where one of our entrees never came and our waiter completely disappeared on us after we complained. Again, I complained and was given reservations at Arezzo on our final night. This was the best meal we had - everything came out in the order it was supposed to, the wait for our table was minimal and we had a great waiter. It is disappointing that the only way to get service at this resort now is to complain all week! We definitely will not be back
