    Find Aldo, he’s the best

I had a great time at Sunscape, the staff was friendly and helpful. Keep an eye out for Aldo the entertainer/ DJ. He kept the pool party going for our group. Couldn’t ask for better service, he’s the man!! The resort is close to town and lots of shopping and local restaurants

    Fairly average resort

The beds were comfortable housekeepers were great especially when you tip them however our mini bar fridge was broken and never topped up despite some of the hiccups in our trip I'd be willing to go back overall it was a nice place the bell boys were quick at getting taxis most of the bartenders were decent

    Family Trip

I had read plenty of reviews before booking, so I knew what to expect. The resort is small but has everything you need, and we enjoyed our Sun Club upgrade—it was worth it to us. We stayed in a 17th-floor ocean-view suite, and the views were absolutely breathtaking, especially at sunset. We got to see lots of whales. The room was clean but dated, and while the bed and pillows were just okay, the space itself was comfortable and spacious. We traveled as a family, and my son loved the kids’ club and water park. The food wasn’t amazing at all, so we decided to skip the à la carte restaurants and eat off the resort instead. If you can, i would suggest checking out some of the great restaurants near by as there are lots of great options. We did take advantage of room service for breakfast, which was convenient, and tried some of the food truck options, which were actually pretty decent. The beach and pool were both fantastic, and the service was excellent. The staff were always coming around offering drinks. Location was great, a mall right next door, making it easy to pick up anything you need. Plus, there are plenty of other spots to check out close by, and getting into town is super easy by taxi or Uber. Biggest flaw, was the pool chair situation there are not enough and they get reserved by what appear to be ghosts for large durations of the day. Overall, we had a great time! For what we paid we feel we got value.

    Crap

I am giving the resort 3 because as soon as you arrive the people in the lobby that greet you ask to see if you would like a tour of their “sister” hotel. And if you don’t show up they continue to call you until you come down. We said sure because they offered a free city tour. When we went it turned out to be a sales pitch for a Hyatt travel club. We were told it’s about 19000.00 US. When you tell them no of course they are worse than a car salesman. They push and push and if you still don’t give in to purchase they call their manager over to push and push some more. Once you get out of that room they have one last guy that tries to push you into it also. Wasted an hr. *Note* if you don’t join their club you don’t get the minibar refreshed daily option even though you are paying for all inclusive. We had to request bottles of water and they would only bring us 1 bottle a day for each person. I really did appreciate how the bell boys were extra attentive. My Grandson loved Christian. He always had a smile on his face. Hope he got the tip we gave to his coworker to give to him bc he was busy with another family. Facilities were ok but if you wanted a seat out by the pool you had to get up at like dawn to place a hat or towel on the chair. If you go one the adventures go thru the website bc the person who arranges them charges full price and if u get the city tour that is “free” any incentive they gave you like 200 pesos towards a spa or whatever if you don’t sign up for that travel club they take it away and tell u it was put toward the city tour. We will not be returning. My advice to the nice employees we did come in contact with try and go work for a different company they don’t deserve you.

    Very relaxing trip!

Very relaxing and nice resort. Angel and Christian were great bellman and friendly and very helpful. Resort was clean. Buffet had a variety of items. Elevator had issues during part of the trip and our room had a broken door frame. But overall - great stay. Would visit again.
