Vanished: A Disappointing Encounter with Hotel Management
Earlier this year, my wife and I stayed at this hotel while visiting from out of town. Unfortunately, she left some jewelry and her reading glasses in the bedside table. We called the next day, and the staff confirmed they had found the items and would hold them until I could pick them up in a few weeks. Two weeks later, I called again to confirm, and they assured me everything was safe. However, when I arrived to retrieve the items the following week, the front desk staff couldn’t locate them despite multiple searches, and I was told to leave my contact information for the manager. After not hearing back, I returned the next day. When I finally spoke with the manager, she dismissively stated they were “not responsible for missing items” and showed little concern, despite my confirming their presence just a week prior. While the staff seemed genuinely helpful, the manager’s attitude and lack of accountability left us disappointed. We accept responsibility for leaving the items, but this experience raised serious concerns about the character and trustworthiness of this establishment, especially given the small size of the staff.

Don’t recommend
The hotel is dated. They gave us a room in the first floor with a shower with no water pressure, and a broken door - it wouldn’t open or close appropriately and we got stuck inside twice. They changed us to a new room on the next day. Rooms are spacious. Location is good - steps from the university campus Breakfast is included but super simple. No electric car charger in the parking lot. Pool was closed for repairs and we were not informed about that - not in the reservation, no emails/nothing. With so many options in the city, we don’t think we would stay there again.

would not recommend
This hotel is horrible. If you are staying with a pet you will pay extra and get the worst room they have. The bed is stain and completely worn out, you can feel the springs. The cover for the bathroom light is missing, feels like someone is spying on you. The draw on the night stand wont stay closed. There are bulbs burnt out on some lights. The tub is stained. The breakfast is good and it is pet friendly, the only positive.

DISGUSTING and horrible guest relations!!
Disgusting!! We always stay at ihg properties. We have made reservations at another hotel and are checking out of here in the morning. If I don’t end up sick, after staying here, it will be a miracle!! We voiced our complaints to the receptionist down stairs and although the one working the computer seemed to be concerned about our complaints, whom ever seemed to be the manager for the night, could have cared less. Seriously!! She should not have a job. So Shelby was working the computer and the lady standing there, that could have cared less, was Leann. Thank you Shelby for having ownership of customer service and taking pride in your work place. I literally don’t usually write reviews but I could not let this go without warning others. Please see the photos. The photos are of dishes which were literally disgusting!! They had food residue as well as a hair. That is the white pics that you see. The other pics are of the airconditioner which is full of mold and dust/dirt. There is a picture of the bathroom vent which is completely clogged with who knows what. There is a picture of the light fixture in the room. It is covered with dust. If anyone has ever cleaned a sink, the sink picture will be self explanatory. Lastly, there is a pic of a white paper towel that I wiped across the bathroom floor. I mean if the obvious things are that disgusting, you know the dark floors haven’t been cleaned. It should be self explanatory. Lastly, I probably wouldn’t have taken the time to write such a long review if our complaints had been taken seriously at the front desk. Leann, please remember this next time a guest comes to you with issues. Some of us have standards and some of us are capable of going to trip advisor and ihg and writing a complaint.

Stay away from this place
Stay away from this hotel. I made a reservation at this hotel on the IHG app just to show up and was informed that they had overbooked for the night and there were no rooms available. This hotel then proceeded to charge me for the room that was not available and refused to refund my credit card for the charge. Now they refuse to return my calls. These people are scam artist.
