Poor Staffing.
We were checking in for a Dance Convention. There were a large amount of people checking in (upwards of 50 people). There was ONE Person at the reception desk. We waited for 2 HOURS to check in. One woman missed her daughter competing because of the delay. I’ve never seen anything like it. The hotel is dated and in need of upgrades as well.

Convenient Location, Room for Improvement at Check-in
Location, location, location. Check-in took some time and wasn’t handled well (no check-in rush hour time), but beyond that, it's a wonderful spot. The rooms show some wear and tear but are otherwise perfectly fine. :) Friendly room service attendants add to the experience.

Book else where!
So I don’t know where to start. This is my second and last time staying here. Location is good but there are also better hotels in the same location. I would stay elsewhere. Let me start with a two hour check in wait online. This was for both experiences. If you complain they give you a free bottle of Dansi water. Then the first trip I switched room 3 times because of the filth or something broken. This trip my room was rundown with peeling wallpaper, lipstick stains on the wall and dust everywhere but it was better than the previous year to be honest. The room was 86 degrees the whole 3 days. Thermostat doesn’t work and complaints do nothing. They just smile and yes you to death. The icing on the cake was shutting my door and having the safety bolt that was loose close over the door with nobody in the room. I was locked out waiting for security to break in so I can get my luggage. Beds are too high to get into unless you are 6’ tall. Water pressure is terrible. And the water will spontaneously shut off. I complained to the manager and he laughed. The level of disrespect was unbelievable. Do yourself a favor and find another hotel to stay. I hate to see anyone throw away money thinking they are getting a normal Sheraton/Marriott experience because it’s not.

I felt like a refugee in a 3rd world country
A line with 100s of people at midnight to check in. The line curved from reception, to the door and halfway back to reception. People sleeping on the floor. Four hours reported as wait time. Zero to one person working the desk. Those waiting for hours bumped by airline crews. Still be charged despite being forced to walk through Manhattan after midnight with luggage to stay at a property that could check me in. Absolutely disgusting.

Rough customer service. Hour for check in
Hours in line just to check in. We were not in nyc long and just needed a stop but man, they are severely understaffed. One person for a Times Square check in and no one to help if we just wanted to hold luggage and keep going. People would come to the counter and not check people in. Find some where with better customer service.
