Regular visitor at Sheraton Kauai Coconut Beach
I’m a regular visitor on Kauai and I always stay at this resort. For me, the location and the friendly staff are the biggest reasons I keep coming back. I love that everyone knows me from the valet guys, to the front desk to the ladies at the coffee bar and the bartenders at night, even the locals who come by regularly. After being away for months, I can always count on Kyle to remember my favorite drink when I walk up. He’s an asset to the service team and I consider him and so many of the team, friends.

Kyle's Amazing
Kyle & Morgan are the best! Had the best time at their bar. The whales showed up just in time for sunset and the drinks were superb. Don't miss out on the Mai Tai. Would highly recommend The Crooked Surf for any and all occasions. Will be back SO soon!!

Wonderful
Wonderful resort. Affordable with beautiful views and perfect location. Janice at the crooked surf made our evenings fun and she helped us navigate the island. The food was yummy. Get an ocean view room for an amazing sunrise everyday. And the nightly music just tops it off.

Desperately disappointing end to an otherwise fabulous Hawaiian holiday
The Sheraton was supposed to be the icing on the cake of our 3 island trip; a bit of luxury and pampering before flying back to a cold grey Wales. Unfortunately it didn’t live up to our expectations. We’d booked a deluxe ocean front king (thankfully it wasn’t in the block adjacent to the very large, very noisy plant) but whilst the view was lovely, the room itself was very tired with lifting flooring, scratched and chipped furniture, bed sheets too small for the bed and the most ineffective shower I have experienced. There were connecting doors either side and neither were sound-proofed - the neighbours on one side were party animals returning somewhat inebriated in the early hours, the others started the day with -ahem- vigorous activity. The balcony was marginally larger than standard rooms but still barely had room for a couple of (very uncomfortable) chairs and small table. Unless you need the space for a rollaway bed, I really wouldn’t waste the extra money on this type of room - sea view absolutely, deluxe ocean front not. Buffet breakfast was included in our rate; we never did find out whether you could choose anything off the a la carte menu because the hostess couldn’t bring herself to say “good morning” never mind explain what the options were. Apart from the egg station, the buffet was barely better, at nominally $35 a head, than the freebie at a HIE or Hilton. Dinner at MoaMoa was equally unimpressive; to the extent that we didn’t dine in the hotel again. Overall a disappointingly poor experience that I wouldn’t have expected at a Sheraton.
