Wonderful location!
We stayed here twice. Once in December of 2024 and then again in January of 2025. We go as a mom/son aunt/nephew trip. We get adjoining rooms. The rooms are comfy with great views. You can request a mini fridge for the room. You can walk anywhere from this hotel. Parking is easy. Check in and staff are kind. The hotel and grounds are super clean. They do "linger longer" which is an amazing perk. It costs a little more but it's worth it. We get to check in at 10 AM and don't have to check out until 2 PM.

Wonderful and caring managers
Today's managers Cole and Dominque were wonderful. Cole the day manager extended our stay in a lovely suite, which we received as Bonvoy Platinum Members. Later, when our room phone wouldn't connect, I went down and informed Dominque the evening manager (turns out the phone was temporarily out-of-order). Dominque was so gracious and when she noticed that the lobby bar hadn't opened yet, she brought us both fountain diet cokes from Starbucks. This personal service made us feel very special. Friendly and attentive managers. That's our take-away from the Sheraton Grand Chicago. This is our 6th stay and will not be our last. Terry Brewer (Los Angeles).

Best high quality hotel value in chicago!
We have been multiple times over the last 15 years and the hotel has kept the rooms and public spaces in great condition worthy of a 4-5 star hotel. The location is awesome. We parked below the property connected by an elevator from hotel at a spot hero garage for $30. Check in was fast and easy at 3:30pm. We asked for extra pillows and water bottles and the service was prompt and courteous. We grabbed cocktails at their steakhouse called Shulas (with a fun bar) and enjoyed a solid breakfast in the morning. Given the price was equal to many other older inferior properties, including many select serve places like hilton garden inns, the Sheraton is the clear value for families.

terrible booking system, charged NYE package and No view of fireworks
I am absolutely livid right now. I booked the NYE fireworks package specifically because it was *guaranteed* to offer a view of the Navy Pier fireworks. But when I checked in, I was given a room with *no* view of Navy Pier whatsoever. When I confronted the receptionist, she was unbelievably rude. She immediately blamed *me*, saying I booked the wrong room, and claimed the NYE fireworks package was *only* for suites. I double-checked the description—nowhere does it say the package is suite-only. Then, she had the nerve to tell me I couldn’t use points to book the package, but there’s no such restriction in the fine print, and the system *let me* book it using points! Her attitude was appalling—she acted like it was my fault and had this completely dismissive, “whatever” attitude. She told me to talk to the manager, who was “busy” at the time, and said I should come back tomorrow morning. Later, she admitted the app was "misleading," but said there was nothing she could do. This is *absolutely* unacceptable, and I am beyond frustrated. The Chicago Sheraton completely ruined my family’s New Year’s Eve plans. The hotel is old, outdated, and in desperate need of renovation. The room had a musty smell, and the bathroom was in dire need of remodeling. I will *never* stay here again. In fact, I am completely disappointed with Marriott as a whole. This experience has been a total letdown.

Excellent hotel!
I absolutely enjoyed my stay at this hotel! I can surely declare that this hotel follows all high standards. I have almost nothing negative to mention about my stay. First of all, I can point out the hotel’s great location, which is in the heart of Chicago, right on the Riverwalk. It is very easy to move around the center of Chicago; the location is super convenient. Plus, you have a very easy walk to Chicago’s famous Navy Pier, and the hotel is very close to Lake Michigan. The hotel is very beautiful on the inside; I liked its design a lot. Even though it is designed in classic Sheraton vibes, which may seem old-fashioned, the aesthetic of the decor is very high. The hotel was ideally clean every single day during my entire stay. My check-in was very fast and easy. My pre-arrival requests, like early check-in to my room at 1 p.m., a high floor, and a nice city view, were realized, and finally, my check-in was smooth, and I was very happy with my room. By the way, all the hotel’s staff were extremely nice, friendly, and professional. My room (#2606) was super spacious! I absolutely loved its nice design. The room was ideally clean, and all the furniture was in very good condition. Two big windows gave a lot of natural daylight inside, which made me very happy. I do not like dark rooms. I truly enjoyed a super comfortable king-size bed. A large closet was a big plus. The bathroom was big enough to feel comfortable in. But I have to be honest that I did not like its super basic design much. I wish it were updated. Plus, I was disappointed with the small, low-raised bathtub, which barely fit me (I am 6’ tall). I wish it were bigger! Also, the shower head did not work perfectly; the water splashed all over. Another design minus which I hated was that the toilet was right next to the bathtub. I wish there was more space between them. But the good news is that the bathroom amenities were of a very high quality and smelled very nice! Wi-Fi was working super fast during my entire stay. My room was completely soundproof, by the way. I did not hear any noises from the hallway, even though the hotel was super busy with visitors. Finalizing my experience, I absolutely want to recommend this hotel for a stay in Chicago. With pleasure, I would stay at this Sheraton again when I am back in Chicago.
