Lailah Brickey provided excellent customer service as did the other staff.
Lailah Bricky was very helpful to us. We were getting a passport and they said it would not be ready until 2:30. They allowed us a late check out. Lailah provided excellent customer service. We also paid extra to have our two dogs and they treated them as guests. Very nice room and excellent service.

Expected more from this hotel
Checked in at 11pm at night and still met with a long line. Surprised by $50 valet fee (not advertised on Wyndham app). Room was on second floor. No elevator only a poorly functioning lift. First room was dirty and did not have enough towels and was missing toiletries. Moved to another room because no one was working to bring us towels and toiletries. The second room was a double room when a queen was booked and was a lock-off (I don’t like these rooms). Second room had toiletries but only a tiny bottle of body wash (typically has the larger bottles mounted) AC did not work and was very muggy in room. Mattress was saggy. The room overall was just very old looking. The hotel was quiet on our floor only positive.

Show me the policy
I booked my room through a third-party app and checked-in a day prior as instructed. During the online check-in, there are several policies stated about the fees that will be charged with a couple of typos that prompted me to inquire about the accuracy of information stated. Got my answer, cool. When I arrived today, check-in at the desk was proceeding fine until the front desk attendant stated she couldn't accept my Chime credit card for incidentals - which was news to me because that wasn't stated ANYWHERE. She mentions its because folks have been scamming them with pre-paid cards, which I can understand. I ask to speak to the manager to explain the situation as I am present for a work conference. He gives the same speech with more attitude and no accountability for their lack of policy transparency AHEAD OF TRAVEL. I say "okay" and walk off to the lobby to call my partner. Within 5 minutes, she calls the front desk to put her bank card on file and they claim they don't see a reservation under my name. I go back to the desk to speak to a different attendant who is willing to assist, but the initial attendant interjects to say the manager cancelled the reservation when I left the desk. The two of us are equally shocked - and I'm incredibly confused because I never explicitly stated to cancel the reservation. FORTUNATELY, there were rooms available at the conference hotel - which I was previously avoiding to limit socializing after-hours. Was able to book in a matter of minutes and Lyfted my way down the street. A bit more money spent, but honestly, the customer service here at the Hyatt and the atmosphere itself was worth every penny. Will be sure to tell everyone in my professional and personal network to avoid Courtland Grand Hotel if they're coming through ATL.

Okay good for a one night stay
It was okay but no shuttle. Good for families for the pool. I am a hilton lover not hilton but okay for a Marriott. Great bartenders and good food. Needs update on the interior. Gave 4 stars for the food. :) Not sure why the review needs 200 characters. I had nothing else to stay. So ignore this sentence.

Not impressed
The good: the bed is comfortable. The not so good: The rooms are kind of junky and small. Old hvac and outlets covered in dust. Maybe that's why the fire department had to show up for an electrical fire (see pics). The room phone is broken except for speaker phone. The bathroom keeps giving me whiffs of black mold. You can hear the pool very easily through the closed balcony door of my room (see video). This door also doesnt really lock. (See other video.) At 10pm, an employee started using a leaf blower around the pool at full blast for like 20 minutes. I tried calling the desk to ask if he could do that at a time when people weren't trying to sleep. No one answered. On checkout day, I called down to the front desk to ask about checkout procedures; it wrang for 5 minutes before someone bothered to answer. An outdated hotel that is quite poorly run.
