It was a great time!
The moment we arrived at the resort, we were greeted with graciousness and hospitality. The room was great and we had a garden view with a partial ocean view. The bed was the BEST and most comfortable bed with all of the pillows. The room was clean, smelled good, was not humid or wet and the rooms were not outdated. There is a stocked mini bar and 24 room service. The restaurants were well stocked with a variety of fresh seafood, fresh fruits and vegetables, chicken and beef. The food was appropriately restocked and never sat out too long. The pool and beach areas were always clean, there always fresh towels if needed, the entertainment was enjoyable. Plenty of activities, volleyball beach and water, bags, ping pong, horse shoes, bocce ball. In the morning plenty of people "ran" the resort so you didn't have to leave the secured area. The gym was stocked with fresh towels and water at all times. The included activities were paddle boards (4), kayaks (4) and they also had sailing for an additional cost of $10 pp and an additional $30 if you needed a captain. For breakfast there was the buffet and also the cafe' which offered pastries. Reservations only needed to be made at 2 or 3 of the 15 places to eat. The others were 1st come, 1st served. We received a pager and would go over to the Piano bar for a drink until it was our turn. We had dinner at the buffet in the evening only once and all of our lunches to were at the pool grills, Oceana and the other grill. This resort was fabulous! The bartender at Barracuda was great and the bartender, Karen at the hotel lounge was fabulous! I cannot say enough good things about it! You will not be dissappointed

Disappointed
My husband and I went to this resort. It was beautiful, but the service was extremely slow. It took 90 minutes to get room service one night. The restaurant staff appeared to hate their jobs. We hade to wake up at 5am and place towels on chairs on the beach or pool in order to have a seat. We had no towels in our room one full day despite calling for towel twice. There were no chairs available after about 7am. The bar, buffet and cafe staff were nice. The resort was beautiful, and they had nice Entertainement. But the service was subpar. We love resorts, but will not return to this one.

Worth the visit
Great ambience for the ocean view, amazing housekeeping, and attention to detail very clean. Not enough chairs for the pool so you have to get up early and mark your spot like a dog. Watch that the entertainment doesn’t change because they don’t always update the app and we waited for an event that was all of a sudden moved to Sunday. We didn’t have an idea of that. Visit Dunn River. They do have Uber but don’t tell you and there’s a great restaurant in town called houseboat Grill check it out

Property is nice but...
The property is nice, lovely, all the Christmas decorations beautiful. I've wanted to do a Christmas trip for a while, so having all the entertainment in one place was great. Customer service was good, the variety of restaurants was nice, the beach was nice but does look to be man-made. Also, the beach chairs are a 1st come 1st service, so we would have to get up early in the morning to save a beach chair. I can only imagine in the summer that this would be annoying. This was my 1st trip to Jamaica, I am glad I got to experience Montego Bay but I would not return. They advertised free bikes but they were hard to find, we did luck up on 2, late one night. It's also a small property. The commercial for Secrets Montego Bay & the reality didn't match.

Not worth the money, a big upsell
The facility is quite old and not maintened very well. It doesn’t meet the expectations for an all inclusive luxury facility. Staff is helpful, entertainment was okay, and beaches are nice - that’s pretty much it. You have to wait in the line to get your name on the restaurants for dinner. The wait can be as extensive as 4 hours depending on how busy the hotel is. Most restaurants are not open until 6 pm and close at 10-11 pm, so you end up eating right before they close and might not be able to order everything you want. If you want to make reservations, you need to open up a bottle which is against the concept of an all inclusive. There is a heavy mold smell in some of the rooms; we had to change our room because of this. This smell is present in some corridors as you walk around the hotel. In general, it is not worth the money, and I would never go back.
