Excellent resort for a totally inclusive stay!
Secrets Wild Orchid was a great holiday! The staff were all so polite, helpful and friendly. My room was clean and everything worked well. The aircon was very quiet which was a pleasant change. The best food was at breakfast and the jerk chicken and fries at the Barefoot Grill for lunch. The other restaurants were a little disappointing but okay. Several staff were particularly helpful: Alissa, Shannice, Sherika, Jason & Junior - but there were several others whose names I have forgotten - my apologies. Mr Lincoln Black, was an excellent taxi driver based at the Secrets resorts. The grounds were very well kept and always clean; the several beaches were cleaned every day and there were plenty of sun loungers and towels, despite some guests booking them first thing in the morning.

Mixed experience.
Mixed experience here. This was our 2nd visit to a Secrets resort. (Visited Puerta Vallarta 2 years ago.) The Montego Bay Secrets Wild Orchid location is beautiful, but the resort itself needs TLC. That said, at least everything in our room worked - lights, AC, sinks, etc. People were repairing roofing while we were there, but holes were still visible at the time we left. There is also a very annoying noise coming from the Oceana restaurant. We think maybe this was a squeaky fan, but not sure. Restaurants were good, but nothing special. We were there at the same time as a very large group, and there were never enough lounge chairs available. Needed to be out saving a chair by 6:00am if you wanted one. Service across all areas was very uneven. Some individuals provided excellent service. Other staff appeared to be miserable. Also, the VERY hard sell on the vacation club was annoying. Staff tracked us down/ambushed us as we were heading to the pool on our 2nd day asking again when we could meet with them. We tried to politely refuse the first day, but after that ambush, my husband had to be very firm with them that we were NOT interested.

Not worth your money
I would not return to this hotel, the food is very hit and miss along with service you can be waiting up to 30 minutes in a restaurant/ bar before even being acknowledged, the sunbed situation is a complete joke we have been here nearly a week and having to wake up at stupid o clock on the morning to even try and get a sunbed , to which we had other quests move our stuff and take our beds as we went for breakfast. If your looking for a relaxing stay this ISNT IT . It is not a 5 star hotel we have often had to sit in our room till at least 3 pm before being able to find a sunbed . The hotel is currently hosting an even for around 900 Americans along side trying to accommodate other quests. There is not enough sunbeds, chairs , tables, staff or even space to accommodate this amount of people . From paying quite a lot of money to be here and a long flight I can happily say it’s not worth it and to find another hotel that will accommodate you and have the facilities you require . Alongside of this the hotel is very tired in places that need to be re done ie, the bathrooms are covered in limescale , showering heads green and the toilet flusher, pool bar tiles fallen off, and dirty sides . Needs a good clean and redo . Save your money

I would not go back to this hotel 😒
Not a 5 star hotel. Not an experience that I would repeat for that price. Service mediocre and often dependent upon whom you encounter. Food and wine often tepid in temperature, drinks hit and miss. I personally did not feel like I had a Jamaican experience. You had to leave the hotel to experience Jamaica, for food and culture. Location pretty. Has a lot of potential under the right management team.

Great time, great entertainment staff
The grounds were beautiful and well maintained, the room was spacious and comfortable. Shout out to our housekeeping, Maria, who cleaned our room, stocked the frig, and left us water bottles on each nightstand every night. Pools were great and entertainment was so fun. Especially Trixi and Sky who went above and beyond, dancing and making us laugh and keeping everyone engaged and having a good time. I would not waste money on cabanas as the service was not any different, the food was 2 - 2.5 hour wait time. The resteraunts at night were the same as most all inclusive resorts, but the Italian (Portifino) was the best with service and food. The buffet breakfast and lunch also had a great selection of food and the service was friendly and attentive. Only negative beside the wait time for food, would be the room doors. They don't have soft close and some guests just let them SLAM shut whenever they enter or leave, all hours of the night. It is so loud it woke me up out of a dead sleep more than once in the middle of the night.
