Much better than anticipated
My wife and I attended Secrets Wild Orchid in Montego Bay in Jamaica in late November 2024. I have to admit when arriving I was apprehensive as the reviews I had read from those who had just stayed at the resort were not great. I am glad we went anyways, we loved this place. The food, the staff and the resort itself were great. Special shout outs to our butler Betty and Matthew at the Preferred Club lounge for your great service and wonderful smiles. There was quite simply nothing to complain about other than the weather, which could have been better, but not holding the resort accountable for that. We snorkeled right in front of our hotel room, and there was just simply nothing to complain about. We would come back here again in a heartbeat and hope others experience at this resort was a positive as ours. Two big thumbs up.

Not the 50th Birthday I planned in Jamaica 🇯🇲
I planned a 50th birthday trip at Secrets Wild Orchid and it was a horrible experience. I have stayed at Breathless 2019 before Hyatt took over. The rooms at Secrets Wild Orchid are outdated and equivalent of about a US 3 star hotel. I moved 3 times due to mold in first room and odor. Next room due to dusty furniture, corners, fan and whirlpool tub with notes brown stains in it. I was then” upgraded” to the Premium Club and the amenities were not much better. I got a swim-up pool as an upgrade. It was not much of an upgrade because you have no privacy! The time share team starts tours at 0830 in front of your room. Can’t keep blinds open because you have people sitting in lounge chairs facing your room. During downtime the staff is just standing and talking in front of swim up butler service rooms. This upgrade I would never pay for, the difference in the main and premier club were slight. I would call for items and told my “butler” would get it. Just to find out later the upgrade does not come the butler service. The timeshare team is overwhelming and insulting to ask vacationers to spend yo 70k to be a member or confronting you before you can even get to your room and relax. Not a fair tactic! Even if you offer $50 credit for overpriced trinkets. With the premier club you can visit Breathless which is aesthetically beautiful but it is nowhere near the party place. Most days party were staff and few people. Thank God for Lisa G (premier club) and Shakeela( main front desk) for trying the best for service recovery! The chive of food at the World Cafe was vast but most items were lukewarm, the serving dishes were in double rows and you had to reach over other food to get to the it m you wanted. I have a shellfish allergy and they had the fish with the shellfish and I got a slight reaction because I think the service g spoons were getting mixed. Went to speak to a Magee on the floor and he wanted me to speak to someone else.

Wild Orchids should NOT be a Secret anymore!!!
Exceptional resort! Staff extremely friendly and attentive. Food was delicious and had a lot of variety. The drinks were on point. The entertainment was fantastic while also having the ability to take a step away for some much needed rest and relaxation!!

Loved the resort.
We loved our stay. I agree with other reviews that the preferred club is not worth the extra money. Also, the beach at St. James area is nicer. If you are going to do prefer club, do it on the saint james side, the pool and beach are nicer. Wild orchid preferred club is about the quietest area on the beach. The food is good. Blue Mountain Restaurant was the best. It is their Jamaican food restaurant and the food was just the best. We liked the piano bar the best for bars. The service at the restaurants was very good, but service at the pools and beach is basically absent. Better to expect you will need to get your own drinks at the pool, which I don’t mind. You will wait a very long time for someone to come along if at all. The spa was very nice, over priced as all spas are at resorts. The gym was great, a little small for the size of the resort. They have two peloton bikes but it looks like they use the other type of cleats, but you can just use the straps on the pedals. The bands they had play were very good. The other forms of entertainment were good. Would definitely come again.

What a great vacation!
We had an awesome time! The staff were very friendly. You were always greeted with a smile. The entertainment person, Atiboy, was very fun and personable. He saw us the next day, and remembered our names! I was shocked! Diana, the bartender, was also great!! Our ocean view room was perfect!!
