Carlos and the staff went above and beyond, all very personable and extremely easy to work with💯 loved the rooms felt like being in paradise the accommodation are fantastic the rooms always full of drinks and other goodies, we will definitely be back to enjoy this beautiful place🤙🏼🤙🏼

Just absolutely amazing
Wow what a resort. We won this trip, and it was the full package. We were in the upgraded building with all additional amenities, and it was so amazing. Spend the extra money on the spa and everything else if you can. So worth it. Carlos our butler was 10 out of 10 along with the rest of the staff. I also particularly loved our server, Carlos, at the pool and the entertainment guys: Jorge, Armando, Marco, and Danielo. They were so great. I even loved our housekeeper Alicia!!! The food, the activities, the people… the most amazing place I have ever stayed. “It is my pleasure” is what you will hear from every staff member.

Service is Great! Staff is friendly and fun!
Adrian and Marnay are awesome. We had breakfast every morning with Adrian and helped kickstart the day with Mimosas and Bloody Mary’s. I need to call out Eliu too! I met him at the lobby bar and he ensured we were dialed in. The service at secrets is fantastic and the people are very welcoming. The staff are by far the best part about secrets! It felt like they appreciated us being there. Truly, the staff is secrets greatest asset. The grounds and buildings are well maintained. Very tranquil and relaxing ambiance. The food is ok but that is to be expected. Most everything is buffet style. We did go to Capers and it was great. Very nice sit down restaurant and you can buy a quality bottle of wine if you choose. Francisco was our guy at capers, he was fun, lively and we had a great time with him. Overall, great experience and well worth the time and money.

Wonderful resort with amazing staff!
My wife and I just returned from this resort two weeks ago (our third visit in four years). As expected, the resort was very clean and overall provides a great visual appearance for the high-rise type of resort it is. We were upgraded to a Preferred Club Ocean View King on the Penthouse (15th) floor in the main building. Having a stocked refrigerator for the floor, our own coffee machine, and snacks, was super convenient and something we’ve not experienced at any other resorts. There was even a little library of used books to borrow. The sunsets were spectacular and the views from our balcony were nothing short of amazing. We were able to watch the humpback whales play in the bay from our balcony! The service and food were excellent. Our “welcome home” is always so heartwarming when we arrive. We had a wonderful bellman assist us with our luggage. Jairo had a great personality and was so eager to assist. He brought our luggage to our room and showed us around the room even though we’d stayed there before. Our UVC check in was really easy and quick. We were escorted to the UVC office and checked in by Letty and she then took us to our room. We asked to be moved to the main non-preferred building from the preferred building for better views and she assisted in getting us moved to the top floor. Additionally, our UVC representative Gio is amazing. We love Gio! He was off when we arrived but came to find us several times throughout the week when we were on the beach just to chat and check on us. He is wonderful! During our stay, we loved the buffet for breakfast and lunch and Tamarindo, and Capers for dinner. We had one of our most favorite meals at Capers in the wine cellar. It was a 7-course meal with a bottle of wine, and was phenomenal. The service from Franscisco was beyond belief. He even did a private after dinner show at our table when he made us “Mexican coffee” with flaming tequila. We loved the food and service so much we later went to Capers to eat off of the main menu. We had another great dinner at Tamarindo and as expected the service was exceptional. We were waited on by Saul. He was great and we didn’t want for anything. He had waited on us during our past trip at Castaways and we told him about that experience. He made wonderful recommendations and made our evening exceptional. We also loved our experience in the Market Café. The food was always good but the service was exceptional. Our waiters were Sergio, Antonio, and Maria every morning. Sergio and Antonio are two that we have become close to from our past trips and greeted us like long time friends when we first arrived. They are super special and made us feel like family. Sergio has an amazing personality, seemed so happy, and takes pride in his work! He took time to chat with us and made us a special cappuccino every morning (which he remembered from our lasttrip without us even mentioning it). It was such a nice touch and honestly Sergio is a big part of why we came back!. Antonio made sure to take care of us on the day Sergio was off and he is awesome too. The final morning, Sergio and Maria took great care of us; came to our table with a plate of dessert with “have a nice trip” written on it. Another amazing touch that warmed our hearts! We said our goodbyes with tears in our eyes because we care for these folks so much. Sergio and Antonio especially have become like family. Maria was also very special with this being the first time we’d met her. On the beach we had two great servers. Aurelio and Edgar. Aurelio was our first server and he was excellent. My wife was having a hard time finding a drink and he recommended a special drink for her that she loved. Aurelio was always running around and were very busy but always took the time to ensure we had what we needed, and he did it with smiles on his face. We also cannot go without mentioning the service we received in the preferred bar from Marcos. The bar is a great little area to grab a drink before dinner and a snack when needed, but Marcos was awesome. He took the time to make my wife a special drink one evening that she absolutely loved. He was wonderful. Although we didn’t get the names of the two in the ice cream shop, it isn’t because they were any less special! We planned to go every evening but were so full we only made it two or three times. The ice cream was great but their personalities light up a room! We also had amazing service from our concierge Carlos. He was always coming around and asking us if we needed anything. He set our spa appointment and changed our dinner reservation for us. He was a great assistance to us and a pleasure to be around! We love this resort for the amazing people, the great food and views. We also travel there during whale watching season for that wonderful experience.

Great Service
Great service! The staff are kind and very attentive, especially Adrian and Marnay at the Market Cafe buffet. They went above and beyond to make sure we were satisfied every day we ate there. The rooms are very nice and clean, the cocktails are delicious with quality alcohol, and the Mexican food is great!
