Dec 26, 2024Great Resort!
Went to Secrets in Jamaica but didn't like it and decided to give them another chance. This time was much different. The property was nice and the rooms were big and clean. The beds were comfortable and the pool view balcony was very nice. We booked the preferred and it was worth it to us as we used the preferred lobby lounge and the preferred pool lounge a lot also for the premium spirits. We went to all three pools during our stay and liked the preferred pool the best. Lots of nooks to explore in that pool with the waterfall at the end of the "river". Never had an issue with chairs no matter what time we went to any pool. Service at the pool was decent and we didn't wait too long for service. Beach was nice but too cold for us. Surprisingly there was no seaweed anywhere and the water was nice and clear. We stayed for a couple hours on the non preferred side and there were plenty of chairs (mid day) and service was good. Restaurants and Bars were great, we thought the food was on the better end for AI resorts. The French restaurant was our favorite with the Asian restaurant a close second. All of the bars were fantastic. I didn't know I cared that much for a coffee shop until there was one that wasn't that good. Specialty coffees (latte, espresso, etc) are not that good. I would also like to see a place to get ice cream or gelato. I'm a sucker for the shows at AI resorts so I loved the shows. If you are into them, these shows were on the higher end for AI resorts. They had a good setup and stage with an LED background board which I haven't seen in most AI resorts. Other entertainment was also good like live music and singers in the plaza. Spa was good but could use some updating. Hydrotherapy circuit was good with good options. The 80 minute massage was just ok. The time wasn't spent equally in each area of the body. Felt like 30 minutes of that was on one leg. Facial was good. Now to the star of our trip, our butler. We have been to other resorts with butlers but none were as good as this place. Ivelise was amazing. Her communication was top tier. She made sure we had everything we needed even kept our M&Ms stocked all day because I kept eating them lol. She has rose petals and champagne waiting for us in our room when we came back from the spa. She also had a bubble bath ready with rose petals. She texted us every morning with the activity schedule for the day and her schedule. SHe was super responsive to our request. When we return we will be requesting Ivelise. Only not so good thing about the resort is that the property layout is a little clumsy. All in all this property is on the top of our list for Punta Cana and we will be returning.

We have been fortunate to "go home", many times, and will continue as long as possible. Obviously, we love this place, mainly because of the staff, some of whom are family to us. Almost everything was perfect on our last visit. Only issue was lack of premium liquors in the preferred lounges, particularly by the quiet pool, and preferred lounge near the beach. Some items were never restocked within a week. Towel game is strong here. Unfortunately, there was nobody checking names and room numbers. Carlos, bartender at the quiet pool preferred bar, did ask for identification , and sent several non preferred people away thirsty. Ha. Carlos is a credit to the resort. Kudos to Humberto Alcantara, Manager of Olio for breakfast and El Patio in the evening. Charina Ramirez, Elkin, Raphael, Estephanie, Yoenny, Juan F., Juan, Juan Alexis, Zenon, and Gabriela made sure our breakfast was perfect. Chef Sexy has the sexiest food on the planet. His smile and positive demeanor are infectious. Chef Miguel Angel Valez Geraldo and Coral Jimenez spoiled us at Olio for every luncheon feast. Humberto and Modesto del Rosario treated us like royalty at El Patio in the evening. Jonairy Vilorio was our hostess several times. Sweet young lady who always greeted us with a smile, and always remembered our room number. Milvio Celesten is everywhere, apparently. Hard working restauranteur. Angel Nin Mancebo at the main pool has adopted us as his parents. Truly humbling. A great man, and Angel exemplifies the hospitality of Secrets Royal Beach, as does Ricardo Santana, front desk. We will return to see our family and friends as soon as possible.

Anniversary
The service was amazing !Ivelise was a tremendous help, she recommended places to eat,booked us a great cabana on the beach and reserved a great dinner on the beach for us!The food was very good! Odalia did a great job keeping our room clean! Ivelise also decorated our room with flower petals and chocolates for our 25 anniversary!

I highly recommend this Place
I recently had the pleasure of visiting Secret royal Beach Resort and I must say, the experience was outstanding. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted warmly by the knowledgeable and friendly staff This place is so beautiful and this is our second family and friend’s vacation. Their staff is so friendly and helpful. Breakfast, lunch and dinner got so much options.

Dec 25, 2024Horrible Experience at Secret Royal Beach Punta Cana 😡
Just had the worst experience at Secret Royal Beach Punta Cana! 😡 My wife and I were so excited for our 7-night all-inclusive package, spending $8000 for what was supposed to be a luxury vacation, but it turned into a nightmare. First off, my wife stepped on a bee on the beach and needed medical attention. The medical staff came quickly but made things WORSE by squeezing the wound (seriously??). Her foot swelled up so badly she couldn’t even get out of bed. To make matters worse, when I asked for a wheelchair to help her, the front desk told me there were no free wheelchairs available. They wanted us to PAY to rent one. Can you believe it?! After their staff’s wrong treatment caused her condition to worsen, they expect us to shell out more money? For a resort that’s supposed to be high-end, the lack of care and empathy was shocking. We were treated like we didn’t matter, even after spending so much money. Honestly, this was one of the most disappointing experiences we’ve ever had. If you’re thinking of booking here, think twice! This place does NOT live up to its reputation.
