The resort is clean and beautiful and safe a small footprint, which is perfect for a winter getaway. Everybody, the entire staff was excellent accommodating and friendly. Food was excellent drink service was to par. We really enjoyed ourselves. Several activities through the day into the evening, including the theater and the silent disco was fantastic

Jan 28, 2025Nice resort but lacking a beach to swim at
Stayed for a week recently. Resort was in very close proximity to the ocean but lacked an area to swim. It's not the resort's fault. It is the area of the coastline that has likely seen storms destroy beaches. Seaweed and rocky soil. Didn't see anyone besides the lifeguard swim. The pools and semi-warm hot tub, make up for the lack of a beach. This resort likely succeeds because of the staff. Angeles cleaned our room multiple times daily. The Secrets' side had Steven, part of the entertainment staff, always keeping those poolside busy. He did a great job. Luis, the preferred lounge bartender, was superb. The staff on the Secrets side definitely keep vacationers coming back, especially those I mentioned.

Amazing trip
We have just returned from a week at this resort. The weather didn't cooperate with us but that didn't stop us from having a wonderful time! The grounds are just beautiful and the Secrets pool had such a relaxing and chill vibe which was exactly what we were looking for. If you're more interested in a party vibe then the Breathless side is where you will want to spend most of your time. As for previous people complaining about others for being chair hogs...that isn't how things operate at the pool. They have 2 lovely gentlemen that hand out towels and if you speak to them, they will put down towels for you on whatever chair you would like. They take your room number and will ask you if you would like that spot for the duration of your stay. There are plenty of chairs for everyone and loungers in the water also. We ate at French, Steakhouse and RoseWater restaurants and the food was superb! Our favorite was the RoseWater where you can have breakfast, lunch and dinner a la carte style, no reservation needed. Since it rained for the majority of the afternoon/evenings while we were there, we spent the most of our time at RoseWater where they have live music every evening and a wonderful bar! It was here that we met the most amazing staff! Alejandro, the manager, Luis and Jose, our 2 servers during our meals and Raul, the evening bartender. They were all a pleasure to meet! Greeting us every time we walked in with handshakes and smiles. Raul the bartender was a joy of a man, with over 20 years of bar experience, he is honestly the best bartender I've ever had! Ask him for a Mayan Martini, you'll thank me later! I loved them so much that he took the time to hand write the recipe down for me so I could continue making them when we returned home. Such a gem and we absolutely loved chatting with him every evening. All the staff at the resort are equally amazing but the ones we mentioned above are the ones we had the most personal interaction with. I wish them all the best in their lives. Much love from Shawn and Kelly from Canada! As a side note, if you're looking for a massage, there is a tent down the beach that offers them. I went for one during our stay and it was 75 US for a full body 1 hour massage. Probably one of the best massages I've ever had, seriously... Ask for Maggie!

Jan 24, 2025Unsafe Resort!
My stay at Hyatt Secrets Riviera Cancun Resort & Spa was not what I expected, and I feel it’s important to share my experience to inform future guests. During my visit, I slipped and fell on a wet floor that had no caution sign present, resulting in a serious injury. This could have easily been avoided if proper safety precautions were in place. While the property is visually appealing and offers many amenities, my experience highlighted a concerning lack of accountability when it comes to guest safety. After the incident, I faced significant challenges trying to get the resort to provide adequate support. I was left to arrange my own transportation to the hospital and handle much of the aftermath on my own. I hope management takes this review seriously and implements better safety measures, such as ensuring wet floors are marked with caution signs, to prevent others from experiencing similar incidents. For potential guests, I recommend exercising caution and being aware of your surroundings.

Amazing vacation
The venue was an exceptional location for a final year end celebration. The staff is exceptionally skilled and responsive in providing all the assistance you could possibly need. This is a five-star vacation. For sure I will come back here.
