One of our favorite resorts
We are members and this was one of our favorite resorts we've visited. We enjoyed the smaller size and the rooms/villas being spread out. The resort had a very zen feel while offering lots of activities and entertainment. We felt the food here was better than other resorts we've been to. The staff was amazing! Highly recommend this resort.

I would go back!
We felt like we were in a little village in Papagayo! In the morning it sounded like you were living in a bird sanctuary! All of the staff were amazing and often remembered you from previous interactions! Very impressed and we've been to probably 16 all-inclusive resorts; this is at the top of our list of favorites!

Great resort! Hotel staff outstanding!
Great service! Food very, very good in most restaurant's. Seaside Restaurant great! Go for the romantic dinner- it was well worth it. Would not recommend Aqua cafe- service was awful ,food mediocre. Rooms were comfortable, shower was great- tv did not work, but we weren’t there to watch tv. 2 complaints- not enough lounge chairs- we did not want wake up at 730am to get a chair- we are on vacation! We did do a massage in spa which was great, but there was no hot water for showers! I asked the receptionist about this, she said they have had complaints for years and hotel staff has not fixed it. She said you have to let the water run for 15 minutes! What? Thought this was an eco friendly hotel. What a waste of water!

Great overall, a bit loud at night
Overall a very nice trip. Spent most days at the activity pool. Music was not excessively loud during the day. Lounging at the quiet pool was great as well. Pros- Plenty of entertainment through the day. I did a few activities lead by Alison and Hilary that were great including kayaking. Seating is limited so better to get to the pool early if you're hoping to snag chairs in a group. Staff was genuinely cheerful and welcoming. I did a fishing excursion (Frank the Tank) and had the chef at Portofino cook what I caught for dinner, it was the best fish I've ever had. The hibachi show with Caroline was great. She was entertaining and the food was delicious. The room was nice no issues. Close to the airport which I enjoyed. Con - only one I have is how loud the nightly activities were. The activity pool has a live DJ seemingly every night and even with asking multiple times almost every night, they refused to turn the volume down or aim the speakers towards the sea/away from the rooms. Overall a very good experience.
