Moxche April 2025
Secrets Moxché – April 12–19 Room: PC Junior Suite Ocean View, 6th Floor, Building 3 I stayed in a Preferred Club Junior Suite Ocean View, located on the 6th floor of Building 3. The view and location were absolutely perfect. The room was beautifully appointed and, honestly, one of the best I’ve stayed in across any HIC property. That said, the ceiling fan didn’t work, and unfortunately, the A/C gave out on the last night of my stay. Food & Beverage Overall, I really enjoyed the food here. While not every dish was a hit, about 90% exceeded my expectations. I especially appreciated the variety of regional Mexican cuisines offered at the Rooftop, Sea Soul, and buffet. At the pool, I stuck with simple drinks (Grey Goose and soda) to avoid hangovers—and the plan worked! Only once did they run out of my choice. A special shout-out to Jonathan, the swim-up bar bartender—he was fantastic. The French restaurant was my least favorite. Maybe it’s just not to my taste, but the food felt overly complex and a bit forced. Pools & Beach The beach was well-maintained, but the water was full of brown “gunk” and far from inviting. If you’re a beach lover, this might not be the place for you. The main pool was my favorite, followed by the Rooftop pool. The lagoon was interesting but too cold for me. As for the cenote-inspired pools—they’re really just regular pools with rock features. They didn’t quite capture that “cenote” feeling. Jami, the pool concierge, was excellent. Other Notes The Dark House remains a personal favorite bar, and the entertainment (when available) was enjoyable. However, the resort WiFi was frustratingly bad—surprising for such a new property. The elevators in my building were also unreliable for most of the week, which meant I ended up taking six flights of stairs more often than I’d like to admit. There is nightly entertainment at the lagoon bar, but oddly, not much seating to actually enjoy it. The lobby bar exists, but it lacks a comfortable space to sit, listen to music, or have a conversation with your partner. Lastly—and not a huge issue—but I was surprised by how many employees didn’t respond when greeted. It’s the first time I’ve experienced that in Mexico. Overall Score: 4.7 / 5 I had a fantastic stay and would return if the price is right. While some of my comments may sound critical, I offer them with the understanding that this is a 5-diamond resort charging a premium rate, so naturally, expectations are high..

Great time at impressions
I had a great experience here. Monica who is apart of the entertainment team, was amazing and cultivated a great experience for us. It was super relaxing, the food was great, and the hospitality was great. There was something to do each day throughout the day. I got a massage and it was relaxing.

The resort is new and modern
This 2022 newly opened resort comes highly recommended! The accommodations and facilities are fresh and modern. While the resort offers a variety of dining options, the culinary experiences can be a bit inconsistent, with some restaurants being truly delicious while others don't quite meet the same standard.

Awesome!
Christian and Monica were fantastic tour guides and hosts during the bike ride from secrets. 10/10!! They had water available and they were knowledgable about the surrounding area. The ride was relatively easy and at a mild pace. Perfect way to start the morning!
