    Christmas vacation

    Excellent experience all around! Our butler, Miguel was very helpful and handsome! Service by Maria on the beach was wonderful! The main lobby entertainment was great- wish there was more seating. Met wonderful people! The pools are amazing- wish there were more stairs into and out of the pool.

    Relaxation in paradise

    This place is paradise, we booked last minute after Sandals Barbados cancelled our trip at very short notice. Although that was stressful and a complete pain, I think it worked out for the best as Secrets Cap Cana was everything we wanted and more. The hotel itself is beautiful and the rooms are lovely, we had an ocean view and looking out every morning to watch the sunrise was wonderful. The staff cannot do enough for you, they are so much fun and you're never without a drink in your hand unless you choose to be. There were plenty of sunbeds around the pool and the pool itself was clean and at the perfect temperature. If you're total party animals then this probably isn't the place for you but we had fun at the bars in the evening and things tend to stop at midnight which was perfect for us. Our concierge Jason was fabulous, he whatsapped us each morning to tell us what events were taking place that day and always found us around the pool to check that we were alright. He arranged a cake and some champagne for my husbands birthday and nothing was too much trouble for him. I can't rate this place highly enough and will most certainly return.

    Amazing!

    I recently stayed in the Preferred Club Bungalow Swim out Suites Oceanfront, and it was nothing short of amazing. The breathtaking views and luxurious accommodations exceeded all my expectations. I would like to especially commend Carlos Javier, my butler, for his outstanding service. He went above and beyond to ensure my experience was filled with memorable moments. His attention to detail, warm demeanor, and commitment to excellence made my stay truly unforgettable. This entire experience is something I will treasure for a lifetime. Thank you to the entire team for providing such a remarkable getaway. I look forward to returning in the future!

    Not the best experience

    1) during transport to the hotel from the airport, the driver had his buddy shake us down to pay for waters. 2) check in was fine even though they don't seem to be tracking my Hyatt number linked to my UVC account, which I also emailed to them, and anything I told them over email had to be repeated or was ignored. 3) We were told by the Hyatt people that room upgrades were available and then UVC told us they wouldn't upgrade us because they thought we would like our rooms better and didn't give us a choice. 4) Our concierge only talked to my wife and wouldn't message me even when asked to. He pointed out that our room didn't have a stocked mini bar and said he would send someone to fix it. That never happened. 5) In fact, it didn't get stocked until right before we left, even thought I brought it up every day. We brought it up to the concierge, UVC, and the front desk. 6) There were some issues at the restaurants with some of the staff being rather rude, but that's harder to explain. 7) I went to check out at the front desk at 2300 and no one was there. I waited for awhile, and one of the employees had to go fish the employees out from the back where they had been hanging out laughing. He was very rude about it and said I couldn't have been waiting since he had been at the front desk the entire time. 8) The concierge said he scheduled our bag pick up, he did not. He did schedule it for 6506, where our guest were staying. They picked up those bags, which is great I guess. When I told the people at the front our bags were missing, the guy didn't really pay attention. He did eventually find the bags for 6506, our friends room, and then asked me if I "couldn't even recognize my own ****** bags," which is pretty wild since they weren't my bags nor did they have a tag from my room on them. Overall this resort experience was pretty awful and it's extremely doubtful we would want to ever suggest someone to waste money going here. But to make it worse: 9) Laura, the manager I talked to for UVC, took these complaints and apparently did nothing. Literally nothing improved and they never contacted us back or gave us any resolution before we left or since. Instead, she nominally listened and then did what appears to amount to nothing but give me this QR code. Mistakes I get, but seemingly doing nothing to resolve or acknowledge them is unacceptable in my opinion.

    5 star service/experience in place of 5 star restaurants

    Top notch service! Friendly and happy faces that were very eager to be accommodating no matter where you were on the resort. Despite the bland food that was available, the service, the spa, the pools, the beach and views made up for a few meals that were just meh. Also, a great variety of delicious and strong cocktails!
