The quality of the food was amazing. There was a great deal of variety for even the pickiest eater. The staff was welcoming and friendly, willing to answer all questions and respond to all needs. Rooms clean and comfortable. The resort is beautiful and well-maintained. Will be back!

Just book it.
This place is top notch. We’ve done all inclusive before and this doesn’t feel all inclusive. It was high end food, drink, service, amenities all throughout the resort. The BBQ poolside daily was a highlight, plus the Coco Cafe 24 hours for coffee and gourmet snacks. We will 100% be back to this resort next year for our winter escape. The service was also beyond reproach.

Jan 20, 2025Eat, Drink, Swim - Repeat!
Our stay at Secrets Akumal was so enjoyable! We went on a week trip to celebrate a milestone birthday and anniversary - which their staff did a great job of making us feel celebrated throughout our stay. Staff all made an effort to get to know our names and did whatever they could to ensure we had a memorable stay. Karina - our building Concierge was super helpful and provided us daily activities going on in the resort. She also checked in daily to make sure we had everything we needed. Pool staff were always attentive and orders were quick - Sharon, Francisco and Hector took great care of us. They all ensured we had a drink in our hand and quality of food/beverages were great! Liquor selection (we mostly drank tequila so Don Julio and Herradura) and quality of beverages/cocktails were good. Pool Concierge, Luis, made sure we were always taken care of as well. Entertainment was constant throughout the day and night - Carla and Carlos were personable, funny and kept us entertained. I do wish though that there was more late night entertainment. Quality of food was good and there was always a variety of options to choose from. Presentation of food was also nice. Their app shared what restaurants were open each day, so I would check the schedule to see what's available. Staff at restaurants were all great. This was our first time staying at Secrets, but have stayed at a Dreams with our kid. Vibe is more "chill" I would say - so if you're looking for a quiet/relaxing vacation this is the spot. Demographic did seem a little bit more on the older side. Beach is a little busier since it's public, but the security staff made sure no one outside the resort came in and beach was still enjoyable with plenty of sunbeds. Resort itself was well maintained and always clean. Our room was nice and everything worked properly. You can order more pillos if you needed.Toiletries we Le Labo which was nice. There's 24/7 Cafe which was nice since I love coffee and room service is also 24/7. Room service orders arrived pretty quickly and quality was good. We stayed on-site for 6 out of the 7 days and I would say that Secrets definitely provided a great all inclusive experience where we didn't want to leave.

I went for my wife birthday with a couple of our friends , we all had the worst experience ever, I will never go back to a secrets resort again, the food was less that average, the service and accommodations for what we paid for was not worth it for sure. we have water leaks in the room , mosquitos, the bed was uncomfortable. Again I will never ever step in a Hyatt resort again, especially secrets.

Fun & Relaxing
The resort is beautiful. I love that you can snorkel right on the premises and see turtles and stingrays. The resort is filled with foliage so there are abundant wildlife around such as lizards/iguanas, birds, and raccoons. The food was amazing. We had a great time with the entertainment around the pool and the staff was so friendly. The resort was immaculate and the rooms were very upscale.
