Amazing property with exceptional views and service!
This was my first trip to Cabo and we absolutely loved staying at Sandos Finisterra! We chose an ocean view room and the views were amazing! The room was spacious and clean with a very comfortable bed. Loved waking up to the ocean every morning, and listening to waves in the distance at night. The pools can be a bit noisy at times, but they offer several pool options. I was really impressed by the beautiful Breakfast brunch served every morning! Diego’s Restaurant has lovely views of the marina, and a wrap around balcony! Also loved the restaurant on the beach. Delicious food, including amazing desserts! The Swim up bar was fun and the service was amazing here as well. Staff were super friendly and helpful. Wonderful, relaxing and fun experience and can’t wait to return!

Food was disappointing
We along with 31 guess attended a wedding. The resort and location is excellent. It is it is a beautiful resort. The staff are excellent and never had an issue with the service. Note if have any physical limitations, it is a very hilly hotel with lots of stairs. Staying over at the beach side would be better. I was also aware that the beach is not suitable to swim. I was aware of this so it wasn’t an issue. The food served at the wedding was good unfortunately it did not carry on at the whole resort. It was not very good at all. The buffet was average. It was not open for lunch. You could always find a lot for breakfast. The pizzeria and sushi snack bar at the pool was good the downfall was you had to wait at least 30 minutes for the food. It opened at noon so we always encountered a line up.at opening time. This restaurant is pick up only they gave you a number. I would much prefer to have a fast food restaurant by the pool. You could order food from the Agave restaurant and have it delivered to your lounge chair by the pool or you could sit in that restaurant. The food was terrible. I sent a hamburger back because it was undercooked and soggy. I could not find anything to eat there that was edible. At night it changed to a steak restaurant. The food was terrible. The steaks were not edible and one my group members had to send the steak back due to excessive amounts of salt. My daughter sent her steak back due to the taste. She did not eat the second due to poor quality. We did find ourselves on a few occasions, not eating the food, and the waiter always apologized for the shortcomings and said they were busy. However it did not appear to be busy..This was a theme for many of our guests, especially for the more experienced travellers The steaks were very thin and full of fat. In other words very cheap cuts of meat.Emiliano Italian was average. This was the best restaurant in my opinion on the property. The pools. we never had an issue getting a lounge chair at the pools at both the family pool or the adult area pool with a swim up bar. The pools were heated. Concerns other than the food. The Internet did have some failures the marine view room area. We ran out of hot water the wedding day when we were all trying to get ready for the wedding. After complaining, they offered us a room to shower however it was only half an hour before the wedding. Unfortunately the timing could not have been worse because everyone was trying to get ready. The bridesmaids were getting their hair done and the groomsmen trying to shower just before the wedding. The overall wedding experience and food and service was good..The rehearsal dinner was at Emilianos. The wedding dinner was in a room connected to Emilianos. My overall conclusion, I would not go back to this resort as a couple due to substandard food offering and the overall layout of the property. The property was dated. The value for money was poor due to the overall food offering. The food served at the wedding and the rehearsal dinner was good. Again the overall wedding experience was good. The great staff does require a special mention.

A Heartfelt Thank You to the Sandals Cabo Team – Especially Benjamin, Francisco, Severo, and So Many More!
From the moment I arrived at Sandals in Cabo, I knew it would be beautiful—but I didn’t realize just how special this trip would feel, all thanks to the extraordinary people who made every moment magical. Let’s start with Benjamin, I met him at the white party where his warmth, attentiveness, and glowing smile stood out immediately. He made such an impression that I requested him the very next night at the steakhouse. He remembered me, recommended some amazing dishes, and made dinner feel more like a celebration than just a meal. Benjamin is not just a server—he’s sunshine in human form. Francisco, the fantastic bartender in the lounge area, also made my stay unforgettable. Not only were his drinks top-tier, but his thoughtful suggestions for activities and cocktails added so much flavor (pun intended) to my days. He made everyone feel welcome, like you were chatting with an old friend. And then there’s Severo, the hero I didn’t even know I needed. I was walking back to the resort from the city and got a little turned around. Though he wasn’t even on the clock yet, Severo kindly stopped to help me find my way. Later, I found out he worked at the resort as a bartender—which made perfect sense. That same warmth and helpfulness showed up every single time I saw him. He always greeted me with recognition and kindness that felt sincere and personal. That is next-level hospitality. My mornings were just as special, thanks to Agustin, the man behind the omelet station. I only made it to breakfast twice, but his friendly spirit and constant smile made those mornings stand out. He brings joy to everyone he serves—one omelet and one smile at a time. I also want to thank Alberto, the wonderful manager at breakfast. On my first day, I was in a bit of a rush, and he handled everything with grace and understanding. The next day, I was more relaxed, and he greeted me with a smile and remembered me—those little details really matter, and he made sure guests felt seen and appreciated. Now let’s talk about Virginia—an angel in uniform. I first met her at breakfast, where she was kind and sweet. But it was during lunch that she went above and beyond. I casually asked my waiter if they had fish, and they didn’t—but Virginia overheard and, without hesitation, went straight to the chef. Thanks to her, I was served a perfectly prepared salmon that was absolutely divine. She wasn’t even my waitress at lunch, but she went out of her way to make sure I was taken care of. That kind of care is rare, and it touched me deeply. A big thank you as well to Florencio, the talented chef who brought that incredible salmon to life. It was hands-down one of the best dishes I had at the resort. Together, Virginia and Florencio made me feel spoiled—in the best way. And then there’s Alba—tall, radiant, and unforgettable. Every time I saw her, she was smiling, cracking jokes, and lighting up the room. She once told me in Spanish, “Pórtate bien, y si no, invítame.” ("Behave—and if you don't, invite me.") Instant soul-sister energy! That’s my vibe. The resort itself? Stunning. Everything was spotless, the shows were vibrant and professional, and for an all-inclusive, the food was surprisingly good. But what made this trip exceptional—what will bring me back—are the people. The team at Sandals Cabo doesn’t just provide service—they create memories. If you’re lucky enough to stay here, keep your eyes out for Benjamin, Francisco, Severo, Agustin, Alberto, Virginia, Florencio, and Alba. They are the heart of this resort. Because of them, I didn’t just visit Cabo—I felt at home.

Poor service in some of the bars and food issues.
My family has taken trips to this resort the past 10 years. We have noticed a drop off the last two times we have traveled there. Most staff were nice but some of the bartenders are plain rude, and the food quality has dropped off significantly.

Santos Finisterra gets a five out of five for fun, beauty and food allergies.
I traveled to Cabo with my sister. We had so much fun. I have a severe gluten intolerance and was treated like a queen and not a pain in the butt. The food was amazing. The staff, including the manager, was on top of everything and informed each restaurant where we would be eating each day and my restrictions. They gave me a note written in Spanish to make sure everyone from the hostess to the chef would understand. I felt safe and the food was outstanding in all of the restaurants. We both give it a five out of five and would definitely go again. The pool is so fun, the grounds are beautiful, itself clean and being close to the marina is a bonus…because you can break out of the all-inclusive shell. Truly an amazing vacation. And I give a lot of thanks to Santos Finisterra for taking care of my needs. ☀️🌴🙏🏼
