Feb 04, 2025Amazing hotel, service, beach and gym (and gym staff)
The hotel was amazing, the food is great with loads of variety. The beach has golden sands and the sea is nice and warm. One of my favourite experiences was the gym, as a keen gym goer it was important to have a good fitness experience, which didn’t disappoint, along with the entertainment, especially with the staff, victor, Alexander and David!

Fantastic Gym
Really great gym kitted out. Plenty of room, super clean and staff are very friendly and helpful. By far the best gym I’ve been in on holiday! Highly recommend visiting the gym if your a frequent gym person and like to take the guilt away from having an all inclusive holiday.

Feb 03, 2025Would not go back at all
This is my 4th time traveling to Royalton resorts in DR. I can honestly say that in the last 8 years the Royalton brand declined substantially in terms of quality and service: CONS: - Diamond club seems to be a misnomer. We didn’t get a diamond club suite and our minibar was not replenished during our stay - Drinks overall were watered down and did not taste like the real thing. The Ron Barcelo and Whisky tasted cheap - Diamond area was not exclusive as advertised and regular guests were able to walk right up to the area and take the lawn chairs as normal. - It seems that the buffet was the only place available. Steakhouse was alright but the Italian and Seafood were unavailable or were insisting on reservations which was unavailable due to backlog. - No baggage service on the final day. The bellhops allegedly had the wrong time to pick up the luggage and we were forced to carry 6 + suitcases from the 3rd floor to the lounge.

Butler -Elvin Ramirez
Amazing! No words can describe how incredible our experience was with Elvin! He made our stay absolutely amazing! He helped us all the time, made dinner reservations, made us feel like family! This resort is so incredible! So family friendly. We travelled with 14 people and Elvin made our stay so accommodating! The beach.. amazing, blue water, soft clean beach! Drinks amazing, service amazing, staff, gym, everything !!! So clean and organized. We had 4 kids with us, accommodated additional sleeping, upgrades, everything! Cafes were amazing, ice cream, friendly greeting, transportation! This is the BEST place for your family trip! Upgrade your stay to Diamond, and request Elvin as your Butler! Stayed at Hideaway area which had its own private pool and bar, but you also have access to all of the other pools and bars in facility. Rooms are nice. Mini bar is OK, but could have used more bottles of water since we are advised not to drink tap water. Didn't have any trouble getting beach towels or lounge chairs. Dorado restaurant was hit or miss. Italian restaurant good...shoutout to Eric the incredibly friendly and efficient server. Large buffet in main building has something for everyone. Bring sunscreen from home, it's very expensive to buy once you are there.
