Mar 11, 2025Beautiful Resort & Excellent Butler Services, Very nice Beach, pools, grounds, excellent food choices, fun activities!
Although we were delayed 2days of our Sunwing package and placed in wrong building & room upon arrival at 1am, once we realized being Diamond Club we were happily moved to Building 5 with excellent view of swimup pool & grounds & with excellent services of our butler Reinaldo who was always prompt with all requests, advice, dinner reservations, etc. Reinaldo definitely added to the pleasantry of our vacation and deserves praise & recognition. The resort is certainly lovely and we’d definitely revisit and recommend it to others. Worth mentioning is upgrading to Diamond Club, the Mexican restaurant at Royalton Splash, the Fun White Night event, and amazing sunrise! Lots to do and see with pleasant staff.

We just returned from our stay at this beautiful resort. We did Diamond Club with a swim up room. The beach and resort are beautiful. Our two bedroom suite was clean and spacious with some mild cosmetic issues in the bathrooms. Our first butler was uninterested in helping us. He showed us how to use the app to book our dinners and despite our repeated requests for assistance because the app is a challenge he either ignored us or said he couldn't do anything to help. Near the end of the trip we received a new butler, Johnny, who showed us what this service was really supposed to be! He was a pleasure to interact with! Based on our experience it's hard to say if the service is worth the extra...maybe if we'd had Johnny the entire time but it clearly depends who you get. Our teens are Celiac so gluten free is required for us. We majorly struggled the first couple days. The language barrier is huge and awareness seemed to lack with some staff thinking they couldn't have eggs or dairy. They do put labels on items at the buffet but cross contamination is massive with serving spoons being used for multiple items and bread laying under the labelled GF sausages to soak up grease. There are no other options for breakfast so we had to make do. A couple days in we were finally connected with FRANKLIN at the buffet and WOW he was the shining star of our week! He greeted us each time we went back after the initial meeting. Making the kids french toast, pizzas, pasta, and fetching them fresh items from out back. He even surprised us one night with a small GF cheesecake just for us! One morning when he was off we were introduced to Enrique at the buffet who happily made the kids pancakes with Nutella! We managed to get reservations at a few restaurants all claiming to have GF options - Hunter was delicious! (we went twice), Zen food was great but the "show" was lacking, Jade was very limited in options for GF and service slow, Under The Sea had great service and food was good too just nothing exceptional. Highly recommend the swim up rooms! So much quieter then the main pool area and didn't have to leave the room! Super close to the beach in Diamond Club buildings. All in all we had a wonderful trip but it definitely helps to find the right people early on. Johnny (diamond club butler), Josmy (building concierge), Carla (Diamond Club office), Luisa (beach), Enrique (buffet), Jose Luis (Hunter) and another Enrique (Under The Sea) were all exceptional. Our trip wouldn't have been the same without the fabulous FRANKLIN at the buffet though! :) (As a side note - this was our first time staying at a Royalton as we are loyal Palace fans. Not sure if that impacted our expectations on service and food or if the difference is the DR culture in general.)

The hotel is stunning rooms are stunning beach everything about this hotel the food is beautiful especially for an all inclusive I got married here definitely a perfect destination wedding😍I was assigned with arrianna pillar as my onsite wedding cordainter from the moment we arrived Arianna met us making from start to finish are trip so easy and amazing she couldn’t do enough for me and my family! She is a beautiful person who made everything so easy for me as a bride and I’m naturally a stresser but anything that came to mind I brought to her and she helped me and this was all before the wedding she made food resvaitions for me and my family helped book taxis for me she just couldn’t do enough for us she was truly amazing the night before we did a everyone dress in blue before I say I do night Arianna went out her way to book me and my whole party into the under the sea restaurant over in splash and decorated the table with beautiful napkins and blue flowers !!!!and when it came to the day from start to finish she never stopped all day from running up and down to all the groomsmen with the bouquniers and getting my bouquet making sure we were all great, even helping me get in my dress her and Massiel Núñez ☺️(witch was not easy job as I had a massive cindrella style dress) massiel was brilliant aswelll. Arianna went live on one of family members phone for the family back home she truly never stopped from start to finish and everything went perfect because of her I could not recommend her enough. Beautiful person inside and out made everything enjoyable and she did so much more I’m just mentioning a fraction of all she did for us please please if you are getting married here ask for her because she is the best 😍also Beatriz is amazing to! Anthony who works on reception helped us when we had a bit of a mix up with rooms the photo guys I had were amazing witch deserves another review on its own!

Amazing trip
We are a family of 3 with a small toddler and have just returned from 10 nights at this hotel . Please ignore all the bad reviews! Before our trip we were close to changing the hotel but so glad we didn’t . Beach is amazing , staff are really attentive and super happy all the time they can’t do enough for you , rooms are really modern , clean and spacious . The food is good always something to choose from , the reviews are correct about the booking system however we just went to the guest relations team and they managed to book us in to two restaurants when we asked . We didn’t upgrade to diamond club don’t waste your money. There will always be people moaning about nothing however our experience was nothing short of amazing.

A fun and unforgettable experience
Great place to spend a vacation or week getaway. The beach was amazing and the food was delicious. Our butler Johnny was amazing. I would recommend staying here. The trip from airport was easy and safe. Would definitely come back to this resort
