    Not Royalton standards

    We travelled here December 31st - January 7th. Diamond club lounge was the only good thing about this place. Our butlers Levardo and Tash were great. They tried to make our stay as pleasant as possible. But the bar staff and resort staff are just not there to provide any customer service. They barely want to acknowledge you. It seems like you are bothering them if you ask for a drink. This hotel is full of no’s, instead of yah mon and no problem. We checked in which was quick . Went to our room and opened the mini fridge for a refreshment and there was only two red stripes in there. No water, no pop. We had to stock our fridge from the refreshments from the diamond club bar downstairs that night. On the second day was the same. It did not get stocked so we had to go down again and stock our fridge from the diamond club mini bar. On the third day we called and they sent someone up to stock the fridge. We wanted to rent a cabana for our duration of the stay but it was only available for the last 3 days of our trip. At 160 USD. I was served 1 drink. 1 drink for the 8 hours I was there. They also don’t provide a cooler to keep your drinks cold. In the morning they stock your mini fridge with warm drinks , they don’t get cold until 4 pm. When it’s time to pack up and go. We spoke to our server on the second day and he was able to get us ice because we insisted on it. The kids club is only open during the day from 10-5. It is not open in the evening. Which makes absolutely no sense whatsoever. One day we came back to the room to shower before dinner and there were no towels. Not even 1! I placed an order through the app and also called the front desk. This was at 5:30 pm. We left at 6:30 pm and still no towels. I had to use a hand towel to dry myself after my shower. The bar is weak. There are 2 bartenders and they don’t want to be there. The only person that is efficient is Bianca. Everyone else is there just as a body. Don’t expect to be serviced or get anything quick. You will be waiting so long you will give up and go up the room without it. This place has potential but it is poorly managed. Even going to the restaurant for the buffet we have to ask to be seated in the diamond club section. They don’t even look at your wrist bands . What is the point of the diamond club and paying extra.? The diamond club section was the only place we could get a coffee. Lazy river does not flow. The water guns are inoperable. No soap in the bathrooms. Bathroom by the pool had 2 out of the 4 stalls working. And there was always a line up. Food is AWFUL! There is no options how can you have two areas with the same foods ? Two stations with rice and peas and jerk chicken. The same food was recycled lunch and dinner. Don’t count on warm or even hot food. It just there and bland. No flavour at all. They have a bank machine onsite but it is just there for show. It does not work. I would not waste my money or time going back to this resort.

    Disgusting hotel not 5*

    DO NOT BOOK THIS RESORT. 10 nights off hell me and my family have had. The staff are rude and made us feel like an inconvenience the whole time we were there. None of the staff wanted to do their job instead passed the matter from one to another. Some staff even expected a tip just for answering a question. What a joke. The kids splashpark has sharp plastic sticking out of broken slides as well as rusting. The main pool had a light hanging out of it with live wires in the water which no one don’t nothing about even when made aware! Total danger to children and others. Upon arrival we never had a crib, kettle, iron in our room had to wait hours for my baby to have a crib. Our mini bar was never re stocked the whole time we were there. We also had to constantly ask for bottles of water to be able to make my babies bottles. Numerous power cuts, no hot water for 4 days. The water also smelt of sewage. Holes and damage around the hotel with no fixture. Our hotel room and baby crib had plaster put over holes. The buffet is tiny and no wide selection of food. Room service was diabolical food. We went for a holiday and thought we’d be getting a 5* resort, all we got was a holiday from hell. If I could put a 0 I would have. This hotel needs a total refurb and an inspection, also needs to be taken down from a 5* rating. At this rate they are totally scamming people and portraying a false advertisement. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY GOING HERE.

    Bad experience

    Missed electricity during our first and second day stay for long periods of time that we were not able to go to restaurants or the buffet and therefore, no food was available. Also, we were without water supply often and was not able to wash up or take showers. Jamaicans at that resort are, in general, very unfriendly, non professional and lazy/slow moving people. Beaches were for very nice though. I would definitely not recommend the place.

    A Great Experience

    Having stayed in Azil Beach Jan 2024, this hotel far outstrips that hotel. Excellent room ( had a swim up room but was in the shade so not very usable). Food was great, bar service was great. Wife is disabled so a wooden floor mat on beach to get to sunbeds would be a great upgrade as she is wheelchair bound.
