The Resort offers Weekly “RIU Get Together Party” and Free access to “RIU Pool Party” at RIU Complex (Mondays & Fridays).
Admission to the Jungle Party on Mondays and the Pink Party on Fridays includes free transportation to and from the venue as well as access to drinks and snacks while on premises. This entertainment concept is available to guests over 18 years of age.

Check-in Policy - Deposits or credit/debit card hold authorizations are not requested at check-in. Minimum age of 18 is required for check-in, an ID/Passport will be requested upon arrival.

Hotel Spring Break Policies :
1. Student / Spring Breaker Groups (21 years of age or older) will be accepted ONLY at Riu Santa Fé hotel.
2. All Student / Spring Breaker Group reservations are strictly On Request and will be reviewed on a case by case basis by the corresponding Destination Sales Department. RIU Hotels & Resorts reserves the right of admission and may reject any request at its sole discretion.
3. If a Student / Spring Breaker Group is accepted:
a. The number of rooms will be deducted from the contracted allotments
b. Minimum Age requirement: 21 years of age or older.
c. The Hotel may request proof of age in the form of passport or official ID
d. Each room must submit a signed liability agreement upon check-in.
4. At all other RIU properties Student Groups / Spring Breakers (either groups or individuals, regardless of age) are not allowed at any time during the year.
5. Guests disturbing or generating complaints from other guests or hotel may be removed from the property, at their own expense.

6. Student / Spring Breaker Groups must comply with any protocols (hotel and government) in place at the time of stay at the hotel.
Transfer Policy - A price may display when children stay free, if your vacation includes transfer to your hotel.

Feb 03, 2025NICE PLACE IF YOU DON'T CARE ABOUT GOOD FOOD OR ENTERTAINMENT
RIU REPUBLICA PUNTA CANA The beaches are beautiful in Punta Cana. The water is warm and inviting. The staff at the hotel and the waiters and waitresses are all wonderful people who are very friendly and hard working. However, the horrible food AND drinks at this hotel made for a very unpleasant stay. This hotel seriously needs to replace their Food & Beverage Manager who will then hopefully replace these unqualified cooks/chefs that they have in the kitchens. We could not find ONE restaurant on the grounds, including the huge buffet restaurant, that had decent food or well prepared cuisine. The asian restaurant was bad - the Indian restaurant was worse - the Italian restaurant was even worse than that. The huge buffet in the main dining room . . . well, the fresh fruit was good. That's about it. We went an entire week without even having a decent cup of coffee! Regarding entertainment . . . first of all, the entertainment starts way too late. 9:30PM??? You have a lot of people who after a day of sand and surf and excursions are in bed at 8pm. We did manage to stay up on 3 nights to catch 3 shows and all three shows were virtually the exact same thing. The same dance troupe, performing somewhat different dance themes and routines to excruciating, ear drum shattering music . NO "LIVE" BANDS (2 singers singing along with tracks is NOT a "live" band). NO COMEDIANS! NO DANCING! NO CIRQUE DU SOLEIL! NO MAGICIANS! I could go into other things to not like about this Riu Resort like constant, never ending disco/salsa blaring from the house speakers around all the pools all day long, elevators didn't work, no washcloths in the rooms etc. etc. but I won’t because you get the idea. Suffice to say that for the most part, our stay was not that enjoyable and I certainly would never recommend the Riu Republica Punta Cana.

We had so much fun. Everyone we met was there to have fun so that made easy on us. Also the service was great. Thank You Andrea from Mangus and Angel from the pool side.

i HAD A BLAST
Everything was great! Staff was amazing. Room was clean and check-in was quick and easy. Check-out was a but hectic because of everyone checking out at the same time but it went smooth.

Property location and facilities were good, lots of pools and they’re big too! The beach was also amazing the cleanest I’ve been to. The room was disappointing. The bedding smelled funny, and of course they were always damp due to the humidity. The bathroom doesn’t have an extraction fan, just holes in the ceiling. Shower felt dirty with mold around the tile grout. The main sleeping area was average, our room had a table, loveseat, 2 double beds and a balcony. Swim suits dry fast on the balcony and was nice I was able to smoke my cigars out there too. You can pretty much smoke anywhere on property except for the restaurants. Jerk chicken station by the beach is amazing - must try! There’s a doctors clinic, spa, and a little shop for convenience. There’s also a casino on a different Riu property down the road with free shuttle transport every 30min. This only happens in the evenings, depart from the lobby. Smaller casino, with blackjack, roulette, slots, and low limit poker. No craps. Overall I’d rate this stay 4/5. But it should be noted this property is NOT a 5 star hotel. I’d give this a 4 star.

The overall experience was average. I think the hotel could do with a bit of a make over as alot of the furniture looks outdated. One working elevator was also not a plus. Totally unrelated to the actual hotel experience, I am in the process of writing a complaint letter. I paid for a higher priced room but was given a lesser priced room for one night. When I asked for a credit of sort I was told I needed to call corporate. When I called corporate I was told I needed to call the actual hotel I stayed at. When I call them the phone just rings & rings.
