Terrible Management.
We are a family of 8, we had 3 rooms, check in went smoothly, like everyone else we were excited to get up early go for breakfast then our first appointment to go up the Empire State Building pre booked for 11am, Breakfast you have got to go down to the reception to get booked in (that’s if you can get a lift) incidentally they shut a couple of lifts off in the morning, so we walked down to the breakfast room we got escorted out of the breakfast room because you can only access it from the reception area via a lift commondeered by the staff!! Anyway we never got breakfast because of this absolutely stupid situation, we went out for breakfast that cost $180 so we approached the duty manager she was totally used to people complaining but did offer us with 3 rooms a late check out. The staff treated us like prisoners on the day we got breakfast we got down to the reception to be counted in and interrogated after being told by the management that it would be quiet well it was stuffed full of people waiting, once we got up to the breakfast room after an hour we were told we could take our drinks up to our room so they could accommodate more people. I am well travelled and definitely not needy, this is a truly truthful account of my experience. I did speak to many families in the same position and agreed with me that we will never return to this hotel, the only thing going for it is the location.

Perfect!
Stayed in Jan 24 but forgot to review. This hotel is perfect for couples. The location is right next to times square, it wasnt noisy in the slightest! Very clean and well kept, great views and great amenities. We really enjoyed this stay and had a great time! It is one of the better hotels we have stayed in in Manhattan and great value for money too!

Incredible hotel in fabulous location
Staying at the RIU Plaza Hotel in Manhattan Times Square was incredible. The staff were amazing and so friendly. The location was so close to everything with Times Square on its doorstep. The rooms were clean and comfortable. Overall it was an amazing hotel and I would definitely recommend it for anyone travelling to New York

Not a great hotel if staying for more than a night
I don't understand how this is a 4 star hotel. Yes it looks wonderful when you step in but the rooms we had were like box rooms and we had to walk sideways to go from 1 side to the other. 2 beds in the room were pushed up next to each other, no space between them

Just ok hotel. Be patient with staff and elevators. Was clean. But very busy.
Room ok. Staff ok. Lots of fun kid just standing around vs helping customers Elevators a mess. Restaurant on 5th floor. Mornings were a mess getting to lobby as they appear to dedicate one elevator to restaurant. You must come to lobby and go back up.
