The resort s very nice. Rooms are spacious and clean. They have plenty of restaurants to choose from and you don’t require reservations. The food was good but I wouldn’t say great, but I am also a foodie. It’s had to please my palate. The one thing that I didn’t like was chair hogging by the pool. Service throughout was excellent.

Wonderful Week's Vacation!
This is the third year we have returned to the RIU Palace, and we were not disappointed. This resort continues to maintain the highest standards of excellence in every respect. From the quality of the food, the beauty and cleanliness of the property, the comfort of the rooms, to the unbelievably warm and sincerely gracious staff - we have always enjoyed a wonderful week of entertainment and relaxation. This year was no exception and we will definitely return. The staff of this resort make us feel like we are visiting friends and the fact that we see the same wonderful people year after year speaks volumes about the culture of the resort. We look forward to our annual visit to this magical destination.

Daughters Wedding - April 2025
We had 47 people attending our Daughters wedding and it was a fantastic experience. This is the second wedding I have attended at a RIU Palace Resort and I have nothing but amazing memories from both of them. A beautiful resort with fabulous staff and really good food and entertainment. The wedding planner (Leticia) was so helpful. I loved the buffet (shout out to the Omelet chef and our fantastic wait staff at the buffet) and our favourite a la carte restaurants were the Fusion and the Italian Restaurant. Highly recommend this resort.

Riu Palace Riviera Maya
We absolutely loved this hotel. The reception staff are very friendly and can’t do enough for you. The waiters and waitresses are very efficient and very attentive. The food is first class! There’s no appointments in the speciality restaurants, it’s just first come, first served but there’s rarely a queue. The housekeeping is superb. Our room was cleaned to a high standard every day and again staff are so friendly. The animation/entertainment team are excellent at their jobs. They are very enthusiastic. Everything about this hotel is top notch. If I had to find a fault I would just say that 3pm around the pool gets a bit noisy. This is such a fun time for the guests but it might be good to have a small, quiet area for guests who don’t enjoy such loud music. That said, the beach is at the bottom of the hotel and the sound of the sea is very soothing. All in all our trip in April 2025 was a total success. Riu has created a wonderful hotel and filled it with top class staff. I highly recommend this hotel and will visit again.
