Had a great time here. Friendly staff and very clean. Plenty of free sun loungers so no mad scramble in the morning for a place by the pool. Food was good but the themed restaurants were on a first come first served basis and you cannot book in advance so get there early or be prepared to wait

The Riu Palace Peninsula was a great hotel for our family of 4. We have kids ages 13 and 11 and they enjoyed the resort and the food. We went to a few restaurants at the hotel and were impressed by the food and service. We had access to the Riu Calibre next door which had fun parties at night. That hotel was a much younger crowd - mostly college/early 20's. I really liked that we could go to their parties and use their pool and beach but they couldn't come to ours. The beach in front of the Riu Palace Peninsula wasn't great but the beach in front of the Riu Calibre next door was awesome so we used that. The pool was great and they always had fun activities for our families to do. They had the same food at the pool bar every day but our kids were find with it. The hotel is within walking distance to the boat that goes to La Isla Mujeras - I highly suggest going there for a day. There is a marina across the street that our group went fishing at. We did a dinner at the Marina restaurant with the fish they caught and it was PERFECT. Highly recommend the Marina restaurant for a dinner out. The entertainment at our hotel was good on the nights they had it. On the nights the Riu Calibre did a big party, there was really no shows for families at our hotel. That was the only downfall to our resort. I wish they had a show or something for their guests EVERY night...a guy playing smooth jazz sax on his own is not a great show. Overall, it was a great experience. I would stay here again!

Cancun Vacation
Everything was wonderful. Although I could not find Children's activity on the RIU app. Staff very professional and excellent.

Riu Palace Peninsula
My son and I stayed for 8 days. Overall we had a great time. The rooms were clean, a little dated. We stayed in the 14th floor, and only two elevators- which was an issue during peak hours. Food was really not that good, but it’s an all inclusive, so expectations were not that high.

Family spring break
Very nice property, the staff was all amazing the entire property was beautiful and well kept, the entertainment was ok but still pretty nice as far the RIU party now that was amazing
