My wife and I stayed there for 8 days and really enjoyed the stay. The place was always clean and the food was great. The only difficulty we had was getting a dinner reservation every night. Reservations must be made 2 days in advance and they fill up quickly. It would be nice if they had enough reservations for all residents. Alternatively, a waiting list would be nice if you can't get in.

We have been to the Riu Palace Paradise Island twice and are already planning our return next year. Huge resorts are not our thing so this particular Riu in the Bahamas is perfect. Love that it is an all inclusive resort, so all we need to do is just sit back and relax.

4 eighty year olds were on a friends trip. Staff was exceptional.. room worked well for 2 friends. Pool was too good for my words. 26 ft of 85 degree salt water. Perfect for swimming laps and hanging out. The special dinings rooms had great food, imaginatively prepared and presented. The buffet was ok. The food often was cold by the time we got it to the table. Our main complaint was that there was no quiet place for us to hang out. No lounge, club room or library where we could visit, play cards , etc. the sound level by the pool, in the restaurants and the lobby was a bit more than we could handle. Over all we had a really good time.

Good stay, few hiccups
Overall this was a nice place to stay. Our 1st time in the Bahamas. All the staff were friendly. Just had an issue with our A/C in our room. They upgraded our whole party for the inconvenience. The only ding against the hotel was the drink quality and speed of the bar staff. The food was awesome from the buffet and specialty restaurants.

Front desk staff amazing. Room air conditioner was obnoxiously LOUD. They tried to fix it. Was gonna upgrade my room to move. Didn't wanna go thru the hassle of moving. Plus the couple we traveled with was next to us. Need a drink waitress in the lobby would have been amazing.
