Pleasant stay with great service and food

After reading multiple reviews online we weren't sure what to expect. We really liked the small property, warm swimming pool, excellent beach service by setting your chairs and umbrella up. The food was excellent with a wide variety of delicious choices and the desserts were exceptional. Everyone was super helpful and friendly. Housekeeping needed to be called and they were there within 5 min of the call. The beach was beautiful and water was great to swim in. We definitely have it on our list to go back.

    Nice getaway

Well overall this is a nice place to stay. Sometimes the bartenders at the swim up bar get involved in their own conversations when they've got people waiting on drinks. And that seemed to happen quite often while I was there. But, the room was nice and the buffet is huge and always has something delicious to eat. The front desk staff is very nice and helpful too. This was my second time staying at this resort so i give it 4 stars!

Look elsewhere, this is Not your regular RIU

My wife and I went there for our 30th wedding anniversary and loved the location, staff and that was about it.I'll try to be short and concise. FOOD- This is part of the reason I love all inclusives, but Not here! The buffet has about 10% chance of being fresh, the restaurants, IF you can get a reservation, was terrible as well. Put it this way, the wife suprised me and we fly 1st class back home and the meal on the plane was the best I had eaten in the 5 days at staying at the resort. Thats right, airplane food is better than their food. All guests I spoke to agreed. ALCOHOL- Seemed to me that the 'pool bar' was limited to one bottle of Jack Daniels a day; and man were those bartenders miserable looking. The drinks were weak if they even knew how to make them. We stooped going to this bar and went to the inside bar to avoid this attitude. STAFF-Well thats the good thing about the resort. Except the door people who are like constantly stalking around the smokers out front seeing if people had their feet on the tables and what n ot. BEACH - Awesome, except the people selling krap, the noise of jetskis and them asking if you want to rent. The smell of marijuana, constantly, not only there, but up in the pool area. Oh, I had swimming googles on and I would NOT recommend swimming in that pool. Oh, they closed down the beach one day, or took away the umbrellas and chairs as there was 9% chance of rain. or was it 15% at 9mph winds. It never rained . Thanks guys, I was having a good time ROOMS - were okay, I got in trouble for smoking in there. Hey it might of been wishful thinking, but there was o "no smoking' signs. The deck was too small and I have a fear of heights, so was happy thinking I could smoke inside. The bed could been changed. Clean towles a problem and instead of filling up the fridge, I got reportred for smoking and no fridge refill. ENTERTAINMENT- So so at best. The music playing at bar was 2000 onwards and the people staying there like me 80%+ would of never even heard of any of it. They did some 'box' 70/80s show and it was laughable. CONCLUSION - Well I finally went to the Bahamas and went to the Wrong place. We have previously stayed at three other RIu's .The food was so bad, we meet a couple that just started eating out, elsewhere. 95% of staff were friendly and helpful.

    Birthday Vacation For Family

Had an awesome time. The staff was great, and the room was always clean. The variety of food was really good. The company that did the tours and/or excursions at the hotel were a bit pricey. The one thing my family and I noticed, the majority of the guess did not tip at all.

DO NOT STAY HERE - COCKROACHES

My experience at this place was absolutely appalling. While the Bahamas itself is beautiful, DO NOT STAY HERE OR IT WILL RUIN YOUR EXPERIENCE!!! The service and staff were absolutely rude. I paid thousands of dollars to stay here and couldn’t even get towels sent to the room. The food options were minimal and restaurants were falsely made to be “fully reserved” even though the restaurants were empty every night. We were forced to eat at the buffet every night. Regardless of the rude staff and poor accommodations , someone in my party found MULTIPLE COCKROACHES in their room. Absolutely disgusting!!!! When we went down to the front desk, all they offered to do for help was to change our sheets. We were so uncomfortable sleeping in that room that we all huddled in another room to sleep for the night. Do yourself a favor, and save yourself from the waste of money. Go somewhere else to book.
