Great time at RIU Baja
Had a great time over Valentine's Day weekend. The resort is VERY clean, food was Very good ( I consider myself a picky eater), had no problem getting into specialty restaurant's. You do need to get a pool chair before 6:30am if you wanted a good one - I don't like it but since I knew that going in I just got up early and went & got a chair. I was down getting at chair at 5:15am and there were already several taken!!! We are morning people so we had eaten and were in our chairs looking for whales by 8am. Saw A LOT of whales! Got a 1 hr beach massage for $40, went to Riu Sante Fe for the pink party & got a UBER back to Baja after shopping downtown for $5! Uber can drop you off at the front entrance but you have to walk down to the front gate to use one to leave the property. It was $80 for a taxi to the airport but $38 to use Uber - so we walked to the front for half the price. The walk is easy. Baja was definitely a nicer resort than the other 2 Riu's and the adults only was AWESOME.

Very nice all-inclusive
The property is very clean and maintained. The staff was friendly. I was pleasantly surprised by the food quality and selection. I’ve stayed at other all inclusive resorts and the food was bland and sub par in many instances but not here. We did the buffet for breakfast and lunch but ate at the restaurants every night. You don’t need reservations and most restaurants were good. The only restaurant that we wouldn’t recommend is the Asian place. We stayed but we saw other couples leave before finishing. As far as the rooms go, ours was very clean. The only negative is the bathtub. There is no wall separating the bathroom from the sleeping area so it seems like the bathtub is in the middle of the living area. It’s my understanding that all rooms are like this. If one person gets up early to go exercise at the health club, it’s pretty tough to not wake everyone else. Overall, we’d definitely recommend this property!

Great stay! Great service.
The service and cleanliness were excellent. I want to make special mention to Julia at the Tropicana Pool Bar, she was an amazing server, so consistent and so kind and friendly. Mauricio at the Pool Bar was also fantastic. Always checking on us. At the buffet, Cesar was the best!!!! He always gave us quick service, always accommodated our large group! Our room was clean and comfortable, the maid service was always fantastic. The entertainment every evening was so fun. Every aLa Carte restaurant we tried, we loved. Our favorites were the Steakhouse and Italian. My husband and I generally never go to the same resort when we travel, but this stay has changed us I believe. We are more inclined now to try all the Riu's. We stayed in Room 1241 and we could see the rock formation/ ocean from our balcony. It was so beautiful. Highly recommend the Riu Palace Baja.

Great week in Cabo!
We just returned from a great week at the Baja California. Overall we very much enjoyed our stay. The property was clean, always people around cleaning day and night and all with a friendly greeting and a smile. I haven’t had service like we experienced here in Mexico in several years. Cesar at the buffet was great, got us a table each morning for breakfast and again at lunch. He made sure we had everything we needed. Mauricio at the pool was a great guy, he stood out to us and always checked in on us to make sure we had everything we needed. The Star for me and my wife was Julia at the Tropicana pool bar, she was absolutely incredible. We made sure to be in her section at the pool everyday and she made our entire week perfect! We enjoyed almost all of the ala carte restaurants, Steak house and Italian were definitely our favourites, I’ve never been to a resort like this that didn’t charge extra for a lobster tail, worked for me! All in all I would come back to this property, Riu is doing a great job here.
