Solid choice 4.0 stars
Great resort especially if you are new to all inclusives! Room - clean, nice decor. Bed is a bit firm though. We were given a standard room with 2 doubles but paid for a courtyard view with king bed. Had to let them know this and wait until next day to switch as overbooked. Not much countertop or storage in bathroom but was ok. Lots of drinks stocked in mini bar. Only large bottled water - no individual ones. Beach - great minus the excretions that have increased in this area over the last few years You must look where you step when walking - “if you can dodge a wrench, you can dodge a turd!” was our motto. Games each morning - horseshoe, bocce ball, etc. Food - pretty good! Not as big of a spread with more choices like Riu Palace or Planet Hollywood but solid and better than most resorts. No crepes :( We liked the Kulinarium and Geisha the best for a la cartes. Shout out to Nely at the buffet who always remembered our drink order and made us feel special amongst many others. Sweetest lady! Great customer service at all areas!!! Entertainment - we go to bed early but heard music every night. Had some fun games to play in the hallways as people come and go from supper. The only thing to be aware of if trying to sleep- there’s no rooms away from theatre so everyone hears everything. Pool and water slides - 4 pools, swim up bar, lots of activities and games, loud music but south pool the quietest. In pool loungers. Water was warm which was so nice. Slides are great! Beach volleyball by the main pool. Resort is small so not much to see or walk around but it is nice everything is close.

Great Resort
We've been to a few different all inclusive resorts in Cancun, and this is definitely one of the better ones. The hotel was great and the beach really expansive. Shout out in particular to Chef Omar to helped my Celiac wife by preparing her special meals each day. I have no complaints.

Very nice property
Overall, we had a very enjoyable stay. Rooms, pools, service all excellent. Evening entertainment above average. Noise at night a concern for a few in our group. They could use a dedicated coffee/dessert shop similar to other all inclusive properties. Grade A-

RIU Latino Is the Right Spot!
My wife, our adult children, and I enjoyed a fantastic week at Riu Latino in late January. The resort is approximately 45 minutes from the Cancun airport by car, and a nice distance from the more densly populated Cancun area. The resort and its staff are excellent. The resort is very clean throughout and rooms are spacious and well-adorned. Andres (front desk), Lino (breakfast and lunch buffet), Alejandro (Entertainment), Cesar (pool bar), and Eric (Sports Bar) were notable for their friendliness, fun, attention to detail, and excellent service. The restaurants (Buffet, Italian, Steak House, Asian and Gourmet) were all good, although our favorites were the Asian and Gourmet. The pools were clean, the water slides were fun, the Entertainment Staff was energetic and hard-working, and the beach was well-maintained. We attended the RIU Neon Party at another nearby RIU, which was a lot of fun. We went on one excursion, to Isla Mujares, where we had a great time exploring the island by golf cart, including great stops for drinks and appetizers at the Soggy Peso, and great craft beer at Isla Brewing Company. I highly recommend RIU Latino.
