Great Time!
We always have a great time at the RIU’s… This is the RIU we have stayed at, and so far no complaints here. Look forward to visiting other locations in the near future.

1st time to Mexico
1st time to Mexico and it did not disappoint. Everyone was so helpful especially if you tip them. Advice is to download the app. When we had a request, we would request on the app and they would come immediately and fix our problem or bring us supplies (ex tissue). It was a gated community with other ressorts. We took the taxi from the airport instead of walking across the street to save a few dollars. 6 of us went by taxi to Bucerias. Fun place. Booths selling their wares were lined up by the ocean. Ate at a little restaurant.

Two weeks of Happines.
The RIU Jalisco, a 5-star all-inclusive resort in Nuevo Vallarta, offers a beachfront setting just 30 minutes from Puerto Vallarta Airport. Despite operating at full capacity during our stay, the resort maintained a welcoming and family-friendly atmosphere, thanks to its exceptional staff. Opened in 2002, the hotel shows signs of aging, particularly in its decor and facilities. However, a major renovation scheduled from August to December aims to modernize the property, following the successful transformation of the nearby RIU Vallarta in 2019. Our sixth-floor room provided breathtaking views, though noise disturbances from hallways were frequent, and soundproofing could be improved. Amenities such as air conditioning, a stocked minibar, and comfortable beds contributed to an overall pleasant stay, but inconsistent hot water and weak shower pressure were drawbacks. Dining options were diverse, with buffets and four semi-à la carte restaurants. While the breakfast spread at Don Emiliano was extensive, menu repetition became noticeable over time. La Botana’s beachfront setting offered a more enjoyable dining experience, whereas the à la carte restaurants, while providing variety, fell short of expectations. The resort’s standout feature was its well-maintained beachfront, lined with palm trees and ideal for long walks. Vendors were present but respectful. Pool facilities were enjoyable, with a lively swim-up bar and engaging entertainment team. The evening shows, including traditional dance performances and themed parties, added vibrancy to the experience. While some areas need improvement—particularly security presence and dining variety—the upcoming renovations promise a refreshed ambiance. The friendly and professional staff played a key role in making our stay enjoyable, leaving us with fond memories and optimism for the resort’s future.

Great stay at Riu Jalisco w/ 3 couples.
The hotel is a bit dated but well kept, they are doing a reno later this yr. For once there wasn't the dinner reservation game, 1st come 1st served. Phillo, Chely & Armando at the pool bar work so hard & are awesome. The white party on Fri is so fun as was all the entertainment. Staff were fantastic. I wish there was a hot tub other than by reservation only in the spa. Great stay & would stay again.
