Perfect family getaway in a tropical paradise
The resort met all of our expectations. Rooms were clean and comfortable ( other than a dirty mirror and light fixture in the living room). The staff here definitely go over and beyond to make sure everything was wonderful. The best hospitality one could ask for. Tony S was a charming, friendly host. The pools are probably some of the nicest we have ever been to. We loved the daily water activities. Although we couldn’t swim in the sea in front of the resort, we found 3 absolutely stunning beaches very near. This resort is ideal for families. Yolanda in the Mexican restaurant gets a gold star. She took excellent care of our family, with the most attentive and friendly service. She was funny too. Plus her memory is incredible. She remembered us from an earlier visit and even remembered all of our drinks. The only negative thing we can say is that the food was just okay. I personally was hoping for more fruit Lots of options for everyone though. The Mexican and Latin nights were fantastic. Thanks for the BEST vacation.

Amazing 10 Days
This as honest as a review as you will find. We just returned from 10 days (Nov. 8 -18 2024) at the Krystal Grand in Los Cabos. We booked the Altitude package as we had done last year at the Nuevo Vallarta resort because we loved it. To compare the resorts quickly and specifically regarding the Altitude package, I would say that the Altitude is a must in Nuevo as the upgrades are significant. In Los Cabos I would still say its a must as you do get some perks just not as many as the Nuevo resort. For example in Nuevo you get a private check in location with snacks and beverages as well as the opportunity to book your restaurant reservations. You also have a concierge that checks in with you daily to make sure your stay is great. We did not have these things in Los Cabos. Both resorts offer you a better room with a tremendous view however which is worth the money. We had an amazing Ocean view form the Altitude tower. One other thing that we received in Nuevo was unlimited room service at no charge with the Altitude package, in Los Cabos we had to pay for delivery. We did not get to book restaurants in Los Cabos and had to show up early to make sure we got a table. We always got a table however. The Altitude package does allow you to get premium alcohol as well access to the roof top bar which is awesome and quiet. One great perk with the Altitude in Los Cabos was the Grill restaurant for breakfast where you could go down and order your breakfast which allowed you to avoid the lines at the buffet. The food was always fresh made to order and amazing. This was not in Nuevo. Our trip in review. We went to Los Cabos for the first time with some friends and our kids 7 people in total. If you are looking for a fancy luxurious resort, this is not your spot. If you are looking for something quaint, quiet, small and amazing for families I think this is your spot. We loved the fact that this resort was small enough we could see our kids at most times and could send them to the kids pool by themselves as they are 5, 7 and 9. The resort while needing some upgrades was immaculate from a cleanliness and service perspective. The staff here is absolutely incredible from the time we checked in, to the time we left. The Pool/bar staff is amazing! specifically if you can get Hector Hernandez as your server by the family pool. Unfortunately we only had Hector for 2 days as they wasted his services up at the lobby bar half the time. Hector has an amazing personality and serves every drink or food item with a smile. He also speaks very good English so he gets your order right every time. The snack bar is also incredible and the nachos, fish tacos and chips and fresh guacamole are lights out. If you are smart you will go see Chef Fernando at the snack bar and tip him cause he makes the best pizzas. We tipped him day one and had 2 pizzas delivered to us every day after that. I can not express how happy we were with the staff at this resort. The food in the restaurants was also quite good. The Grill Steakhouse was the least of my favorites but was still decent. Ayami and Rizzotto were very good and we went back multiple times to both places. Rizzotto served an Oso Bucco that was very good. The buffet for the few times we went was like any resort buffet. Some things were great some things were ok. Lots of selection and always more than enough food. They did a couple special nights there a Mexican night and a Latin night. These are great buffet nights as they are cooking fresh food outside on big grills. Mexican night also had fresh churros which were amazing. If you want to get good pool side chairs I would say grab them by 6 - 6:30 am. we had the same chairs for 10 days. The infinity family pool was awesome... a little cold but awesome with a great view of the ocean. The beach was also pretty nice, there were no chairs to sit on the beach which I thought was strange as the sand is quite nice. The ocean itself while they tell you not to swim in it was warm. we would take the kids down and walk in and then run away from the waves. If you are a good swimmer you can swim in the ocean here. Just watch the waves as they can be very large. Overall we had a great experience and would recommend Krystal grand to people. Sure it could use some upgrades but the AC worked great, it was clean, the food was really good and the staff was excellent. It is also extremely safe.

Pedro is the best.
Pedro is the best bartender in the joint!! Highly recommend, he makes the best drinks and serves them with a smile! The swim up pool bar is awesome and surrounded by other friendly people. There’s space to lounge beside the pool, make sure to get up early to snatch a chair. Say hi to Pedro and have the best time!
