We have gone here three years in a row! Absolutely love it! Beautiful beach and spectacular pool! Friendly staff and amazing accommodations! Restaurants are all great. The staff go above and beyond to make sure you have the best experience! We can’t wait to go back! They truly appreciate you as a guest!

Feb 02, 2025Lots of potential, but beware of the condition of the facilities…
This adults only hotel is set on one of the most beautiful beaches I’ve been to. The small size of this resort makes it very manageable. Sadly, the rooms in the resort are in desperate need of a refresh. Every day it seemed like there was something breaking. From seven different trips to the front desk to get keys that worked to waking up to a waterfall from the ceiling in the bathroom on day two, to broken toilet handles and a rock solid mattress, this location would be a five if the company would put some budget into restoring this facility. The food service is acceptable. I would not recommend paying extra for the lobster. Save that for your trip to Maine. VIP status gave us reserved cabanas at the beach. Since we spent most of our day at the beach, this was a valuable investment. The streets rolled up at dark. This was an extremely quiet location at night. This is something we really appreciate appreciated. For as many hassles, as we had, the guest services, staff was extremely accommodating. Until the facilities get renovated, we will likely not return to this location. Once they do get upgraded, I’m all in.

Travelled by Sunwing from Toronto to Punta Cana. Im not a big Sunwing fan as you get bused to the old terminal in Toronto which gets tiresome. When we arrived at the hotel there was a large line for the Sunwing buses. Totally disorganized. We chose to take our own transport. 8 people - $40. When we arrived at the hotel about 30 minutes later the check in was smooth. The staff greeted us, and made us feel welcome with drinks in hand. The rooms are a bit dated, but clean with comfortable beds. Our sliding door had no handle, and would stick when closed. I advised the front desk, and a radio call was placed but nobody showed up. This was a common problem with all our friend group. Maintenance staff were unreliable, but all other staff were fabulous. The air conditioner in our friend's room wouldn't cool the room below 27 degrees so after 2 days of complaining they finally moved them. Our room wouldn't go below 24 degrees. The resort is small, and very quiet. Never any line-ups at the bars. We stayed in room 4010 which was a ground floor half way between the restaurant and beach. The beach was beautiful with plenty of chairs and grass huts. It did get busy latter in the week. Pool was fantastic with a swim up bar, and entertainment in the afternoons. The hotel grounds were immaculate. The specialty restaurants are average, and we went to the steak house and Italian restaurant. We did go to the sister resort next door to the TexMex which was also average. The buffet seems to be the best option most days. The beach bar was the go to bar in the evening, and was in a fabulous location. The waves were pretty big most days so snorkelling was not an option. The beach is endless in both directions. You can walk for miles. The gym and spa are located just outside the front entrance. The gyn was well equipped with universal and dead weights but a bit cramped for room. I would definitely return to this hotel as the staff made our vacation. Great location with a beautiful beach.

Amazing Resort
Just returned from spending a week at this lovely resort. I highly recommend this resort to anyone traveling solo or with a partner. The staff are bar none, they make you feel special and are genuinely happy to see you. They really go out of their way to make sure all your needs are met. The place is immaculate, the grounds, the public washrooms, pool area, beach etc. Lovely little resort, always something going on in the lobby bar at night or down by the beach. Entertainment by the pool daily is always fun to watch or participate in. The beach bar is a great place to hang out, during the day or at the end of the evening when the lobby bar closes. The ala cart restaurants are ideal as you don't need a reservation, and there are no restrictions as to how many times you can frequent them.

Okay
This is definitely not a five star resort everyone was very friendly and helpful, but the cleanliness was not very good There are lots of bugs and mosquitoes The food at the buffet was very hard to determine what it was a lot of the workers could talk very little English The sister resort CARIBE was way more updated and had better restaurants and food and much cleaner there was absolutely no Wi-Fi in your rooms. You either had to go to the lobby or a restaurant to get any Wi-Fi.
