Rooms were stunning almost all the staff was amazing, pools were nice. We had start class; the pool was a nice break was calmer more shade, all the staff was great Jose was our butler and was the best. Downfall very hilly but didn't have to wait long for a ride. The food was ok not amazing not knock your socks off. We only had one bad experience where we waited for over an hour and never got food. Otherwise food was timely and decent.

Jimmy and the breakfast à la carte was amazing hands-on very attentive but definitely come back and recommend this hotel to some anyone else I know the good I had like 3 cups of espresso and the juice was very good. Loved every experience I’ve had in this hotel so far thank you

I don’t review much but I want to help other travelers with allergies. We just had a family vacation in this hotel. Many things are still work in progress. This isn’t like going to Mexico resort, here things are different, employees are more laid back not typical Mexico service type of crew. Many employees don’t even know what allergies are. I have celiac and lactose intolerant, I had a bit of a hard time eating here. Very limited menus at restaurants, buffet has many options but most things are fried in the same oil as breaded stuff. Ask for chef Bryan when you arrive. He will go thru things you can and can not eat. He can even prepare you a meal. Make your dinner reservations right away for all the nights. Don’t rely on your butter. You can even go to restaurants and make reservations directly thru them. If you don’t have reservations you can just go and see if they have any open times. I found steak house and Hibachi most gluten and dairy free. Dylan at Hibachi was awesome. Tex Mex for dinner was not my favorite, but breakfast was ok. I’d skip Italian, or ask Bryan to make something there otherwise it’s all pasta and pizza. You have to be diligent, because some employees don’t know what gluten is and will give you salad with croutons as a gluten free meal. Nothing on the room service is gluten free, I wish they would put at least guacamole and chips on that menue. Burger place has gluten free bun, but not really safe for celiac, it’s all cooked on the same grill. Entertainments were good. Staff by the pool were great. Pool games were fun. Karaoke and night club was also fun. Music at the night club is only hip hop, wish they would switch it up to some club techno style music. We did have fun on jets skis booked at ph experience. We also had booked atv and zip line. When you book atv and zip line thru ph, make sure they have modern air conditioned vans to take you back and forth. Ours was clunky 1960’s with barely any air conditioner. You’d think for star class guests booked directly thru ph we would have modern transportation. Overall this resort was fun. Keep in mind beach is not for swimming. Weather was beautiful. Monkeys by the beach were very friendly. You can feed them fruits every morning.

Great dining experience
Our stay was amazing. Gilberto and his friends were courteous and helpful in the dining room. The breakfast buffet was delicious. I tried the Costa Rican coffee at the restaurant and it was perfect for my taste. I love the strong coffee. Overall a great experience.

Spring Break 2025
The resort staff was friendly and attentive. The resort was clean and easy to maneuver. I highly recommend Star class. Our personal assistant, Justin, proactively arranged dinners, room set up, and was a wealth of knowledge. The Star class comes with additional benefits but this was the best part.
