Bring adventures to life at our Fort Myers Beach resort
Beginning with a single cottage in 1953, Pink Shell is now an expansive 12 acres. We are surrounded by the Matanzas Pass on one side of our island and Gulf of Mexico on the other. Though it has been expanded, renovated and rebranded since the first beachfront property that sat on the sand, the Fort Myers, Florida resort continues to celebrate the memories that were once made on the sun-kissed beach while providing all the necessities for friends and families to make ones of their own.
Our Fort Myers Beach hotel is a Boykin Lodging Company offering studios, one- and two-bedroom accommodations, meeting facilities, a spa, full-service marina, fitness center, two restaurants and fun activities for the whole family.
Welcome to Pink Shell Beach Resort & Marina, where the only thing we overlook is the beach!

A Magical Weekend in Paradise
What an amazing time we had celebrating our 25th Anniversary with 18 family members (from out of state) on December 13 and 14, 2024, at The Pink Shell Resort and Marina! Although the weather didn’t cooperate the entire time, it was remarkable when we needed it the most. But what made our tribute weekend picture perfect was the attention to details provided by the entire Pink Shell Resort and Marina staff. Being greeted by spotless floor to ceiling windows overlooking the Gulf as we entered our suite in the main hotel is a vision that my husband I never want to forget. In fact, that very scene became the backdrop when we renewed our vows. Swans made from towels, champagne on ice, and strawberry treats made us feel even more special as we celebrated our Milestone Anniversary. Our guests’ room in the villas were fabulous as well. FMB's Time Square was just a tram away with pick-up right outside the resort. The pools, Bongo's and sandy beaches were only steps away from our rooms. Omelets cooked to order or choosing from the buffet, the breakfast was a pleasant treat each morning. Chatting on balconies while taking in the views, relaxing in the hot tub, and late-night drinks and laughs around the fire pit table have already become cherished memories for my husband and I and our 18 guests from our weekend together. The celebration would not have been as successful without all of the assistance from Dony Rivera, Wedding and Social Event Planner at The Pink Shell. From assigning rooms, to coordinating with the marina for our independent chartered Catamaran tour, to providing souvenir bags from the FMB Chamber of Commerce … it was all noticed and appreciated. But even more, the attentiveness she shared was with a smile on each and every call, text, or email. A few things could have gone wrong, but in all, it was truly a magical weekend! We are blessed to live in paradise year-round but knowing that The Pink Shell is in our “backyard” when we need to celebrate life to its fullest or for a simply glorious day visit is a bonus. Thanks goes to Dony and the entire Pink Shell staff for the extraordinary hospitality!

Good for families, GREAT customer service... Resort is starting to show a little wear
We rented two rooms in the Sanibel building for our stay. The rooms were well-cleaned but starting to show a little wear. One room didn't have the main ceiling fan light working at all; both rooms were difficult to access with the wristband locking mechanism. Also, the 2nd floor down button on the elevator stopped working. Outside those negatives, the resort was great for families, especially ones with smaller kids. Kids can run essentially free from pool to pool without worrying that they'll get out to the beach. For those that prefer beach time, chairs are placed out every morning and there's free kayaks available to get out on the water. There's also multiple beach showers on entry as well as a special station to wash your seashells. Customer service was fantastic. Everyone there bent over backwards to help out on whatever the request. It definitely made up for any shortcomings from the resort itself. Really... the staff should pat itself on the back. Even the ranger, who was great to have on-site for lectures and animals, pitched in for events such as the New Year's Eve foam party for kids. The all-in-all question at the end, would I go back? My 11yo never wanted to leave. She was completely smitten with the breakfast and the pools and the beach and Bongo's restaurant on-site... we had to drag her out of the pool an hour from check-out on the last day. If you are looking for a family-friendly place that isn't tied in with Disney in Florida, this is a great option. Pro-tip: At the time of writing this, the main building has a web cam on it, which faces the Octopus Pool with the waterfalls. Check it out if you want to see what it looks like at the resort real-time.

Great stay at the Pink Shell.
Beautiful resort on the beach. Enjoyed the Bongos restaurant, wonderful beach and friendly staff, especially Myra at concierge desk and another Myra that served on the breakfast line. Both ladies went beyond expectations to make our stay great.
