Huge resort & casino with a lot to offer

We stayed here two nights to attend a wedding. Our room on the 4th floor had an amazing view over the inner courtyard pools. (A friend told me he loved the spa.) The room was very clean and comfortable, with two queen beds and plenty of space. The casino downstairs is VAST, with endless slots and restaurants... it seems to go on for miles. We ate in two of the dining venues and both were very good, with friendly service, though rather expensive. Also liked the coffee and yummy breakfast sandwiches/pastries in the lobby. The only thing we didn't like was the smell of smoke in the 4th-floor hallway. It's a "nonsmoking" floor—yet we could still smell cigarette smoke coming from somewhere, not so much in our room, but definitely in the hallway. Overall it was a nice stay, but as someone with asthma who's allergic to secondhand smoke, I probably wouldn't stay here again.

Nice room, nice restaurants, questionable personnel

I stayed in the hotel with my youngest daughter as a birthday present from my husband. We had stayed in a two bed room in the Tuscany Tower the week of the 10th. The hotel room was nice. The view was of an apartment complex so I wasn’t very thrilled about that as the receptionist said I would be in a room with a view of the mountains. Bed was comfortable and pillows were soft. We checked out the pool, I do wish the extra pool was open. The restaurants were decent. Not a fan of the cafe. Too overpriced for the food and the servers were moody. The steakhouse was the highlight. My main concern was that my daughter that is 17 was being hit on by a security officer I believe was named Isaiah or Isaac. Luckily my daughter had enough sense to give him a fake number. I also did see him stop by and talk to the young girls at the restaurants. I attempted to make a complaint with the security team when my daughter informed me but to my disappointment no one showed up to talk to me. This I believe was the 12th maybe around 2 or 3 am. Overall may have received a higher score but I think maybe it is high time to intervene with the employees and provide a training on harassment.

Wonderful Property, marred by rude front desk manager

This is our 5th visit to the Peppermill which we love. From the rooms to the wonderful staff it is a joy. Especially the whiskey bar..great entertainment and the bartenders are friendly and helpful Only glitch was on last day. We love the beautiful videos they show in the rooms on 3 different stations with relaxing music. Sometimes my wife and I just lay on the bed watching while drifting off to sleep. Well, this last day the channels sadly shut down for the entire day. We went down to the front desk to express our concerns and the agent shockingly suggested several times that she should just “quit her job right now”. Bizarre. Then the front desk manager Jamie came out with an attitude claiming that the glitch was caused by the weather. Later in the evening a maintenance man said that was a lie. The shutdown was caused by the system getting switched to fiber optics. She was just the opposite in what you would want representing the hotel in the front of the house. Incredibly nasty.

    Fantastic sports book section

The only thing we did here was go to the sports book on Sunday for NFL football.. But, it was an incredible place. There was a whole circle of large screens hanging from the ceiling showing every game. The seats were comfortable. if you are going to watch sports in Reno, this is the place to go.
