Peppermill tower is great, Spa is awful; save your money

This is a review about the Spa, the main tower rooms are wonderful. Pros: staff is wonderful, kind, pleasant. Cons regarding spa: 1) day passes are $85 apiece. I could have booked a pedicure for less money and used the day pass. A rip-off. 2) The Caldarium looks wonderful in the pictures without any people. However, there were over 50 people there ("This is a slow day") so it was very noisy, and the two TINY hot tubs would have a hard time fitting more than 2 people. 3) The snacks are lousy--stale nuts and a banana chip/pretzel mixture which looks like it came from Winco bins. Drinks in cans are ok. 4) The famed Himalayan Retreat is tiny with upright uncomfortable chairs to sit on. 5) the women's only spa area was loud with many women, and the hot tubs were full. I walked in, took a look, and walked right out. 6) The "retreat" room showed a loop of the same video of stars/sky which played over and over. I spent $170 for two people and was so disappointed. Should have gone to the outdoor pool and hot tubs.

    Excellent stay

Our stay at the Peppermill Reno was amazing! The Imperial Suite was wonderful, with a spacious layout and a fantastic jetted tub that was perfect for relaxing. Friendly staff, excellent dining options, and great amenities. Highly recommend for a luxurious stay in Reno!

    Food poisoning

Got the lousy luck of staying in the dirty dated west wing… which means you have to walk outside to get to main building. Was there for the sheep show which meant I either froze on the walk over or carried my coat with me the rest of the nite. Ok that aside we stayed 4 nites exclusively eating here… we share everything during meals. Well there was one day I attended a ladies luncheon and my husband went to milanos and got the Peppermill sandwich bad move hours later he was severely ill with food poisoning He went to room 7pm Saturday missing the event we came for and we had flight home Sunday that we needed to cancel here it is Monday morning 3;00 am and he thankfully is sleeping but what I will say is When I spoke to manager Dan he didn’t really care. I called originally to request another nite and explained why they said manager and security wanted to speak to me… now it’s 6:00am and we decided my husbands couldnt make flight I told them ide come later and we could discuss When I did make it and spoke to dan he didn’t care What he did say was if your looking for us to comp room the best I can do is send crackers and ginger ale up to your room at no charge!!!!! I tried to tell him what restaurant and what he ate and he literally said “it didn’t matter “ good luck to all those that come after They also told me security wanted to speak with me so when I met with “manager dan” I asked to speak to them and he said no your all good Funny tho I did end up speaking with them , fillled out a report…. They didn’t understand why the manager Dan would tell me that What I will say is Francisco in security was very helpful going so far as to say there was an emt here that could come and evaluate him, he even got me the microwave that the front desk ordered for me after I went to get soup walked the long way to west wing to find my key wouldn’t let me in…. Had to walk back and by then food was cold yikes I will say my husband was pretty sick and all manager dan cared about was me looking to comp the room…. Never mentioned an emt on site But hey the crackers and ginger ale was awesome I will never ever be back here and if you like to gamble eat here Best of luck

Resort that make their costumer dislike them .

I at first liked the Peppermill resort the people were friendly and nice , I later had a package delivered to the Peppermill which was rejected for no reason other than they did not want to held a guest staying at there hotel I will never stay at the Peppermill again and would recommend the reader do the same .

    Convenient hotel for exploring Reno

My husband and I stayed here 3 nights. We liked the hotel. The room had two bedside tables, each with a reading light. I appreciated the TWO upholstered easy chairs, plus a padded desk chair. The room had a small refrigerator and a coffee maker. The room had sufficient bedside charging and electrical outlets. I really liked the huge attractive backlit photo displays on the walls of the casino and hotel. They periodically changed to offer a new scenic view. Many of the photos were landscapes but some were city views. One night we heard two live musicians in an upstairs bar. This hotel was a comfortable base from which to explore Reno. We ate dinner at three different higher-end restaurants at the casino, but weren’t able to get a spot at the steakhouse. We liked walking around the casino. We did not do any gambling.
