    Don’t bother with this place.

Poorly managed hotel. Asked for rollaway bed upon arrival, promised to receive one , never showed up in our room. Front desk tried to trick us into paying additional $4000.00 USD to “ upgrade”. Didn’t work, so they gave up pushing the idea and gave us our rooms near the beach anyway for no additional fees. Hotel wanted to charge extra for EVERYTHING ! Even using water park for kids at Melia next door, knowing it’s included in our stay. Rude staff at water park! Constantly waiting for fork and knife set while seated with our food at buffet restaurant . Seems like restaurants were training new staff. Slow or inconsistent service. Wasn’t overly busy. Plates being grabbed from under our mouths while eating above the plate. Staff don’t smile. Booking restaurants is a joke. Lots of people unhappy. Many complaints while at the beach & pool. The vibe was disappointing. Poor management. This place needs a management makeover!

Family New Years Eve Celebration Trip

We arrived on Dec 27 and will be leaving on January 3. It’s my husband, my two college-age kids, and me. So far, it has been an amazing trip. We booked reservations for the restaurants before arriving. So far, it has worked out for us. We have enjoyed the food at all the restaurants, and the service has been impeccable. We have food allergies and communicate them using Google Translate. The buffet has plenty of options. We especially enjoyed the cook-to-order stations and the Dominican food station. Our favorite night so far has been the Legend of the Sea New Year's Eve Party. It was an amazing party with live entertainment and dancing on the beach. They set up the beach beautifully with chairs, tables, lounge chairs, and plenty of 2025 props for photo ops. It exceeded our expectations. We are staying in a deluxe two-bedroom master suite. There is plenty of room for the 4 of us. The cleaning staff has been great. The rooms are clean and well-equipped. Some minor repairs are needed. One of our outlets is not working, and a few curtain clips are missing. Easy fixes The pools and the beach are gorgeous. We had no problem getting beach or pool chairs, and we are not early risers!

5- star facility with 2-star service and food!

I honestly don't understand how this resort got such good reviews. The hotel itself looks nice, just like any other 5-star all-inclusive resorts but everything else was mediocre at its best. The quality of food was inconsistent, drinks were watered down, and the shows were amateurish. The only saving grace was the staff members at the beach who were always attentive and caring but for $900 per night, I expected more. Also don’t bother the book the Reserve. Whatever service they offer, you can get it by asking the front desk. Not worth the money. Also the app never worked!!

Can’t get more pillows or dinner reservations

It is impossible to get extra pillows and to make a dinner reservation. My room is a suite and is beautiful but my children are sleeping on the pull-out and when they made the bed they didn’t include pillows. They are also unable to accommodate dinner reservations for 10 people. We have had to eat at the buffet every night. No restaurant seems full. Seems like if you upgrade to a different level they treat you better. For the amount of money this vacation is costing, that just isn’t right / fair.

    Family Christmas Vacation 2024

The resort was amazing. Our concierge Christopher took great care of us. He helped each day with our dinner plans, left thoughtful gifts, and checked in with us each day. I highly recommend him as your concierge. I would highly recommend this resort. The food and restaurants were great for an all inclusive vacation.
