    Disappointed with Beach/Pool Cabana Staff

I stayed at Paradisus Los Cabos with my husband and 2 children. It was nice overall...would give it 3.5 if I could. Restaurants were better than expected since sometimes all-inclusives can be just ok, but we were pleasantly surprised. Don't come here if you are looking for a robust nightlife though. The karaoke was a hit but ended at 10 and not much else going on the other days. The one reason we would never go back is the saving of chairs at the pool and beach. They had an employee named Carlos who would save cabanas at the beach by putting his books and sunblock on the beach beds (all of us started talking about it and realized it and then Carlos admitted that it was his personal items and he made it look like it was a guest's items. He did this every day we were there). He would wait around until he got the right person to tip him quite a bit and then he would give the beds up to them. I saw him confront 3 women who sat down even though they were supposed to be first come, first serve. The beds would sit unused all day or saved by him for people to show up at 3pm. It was maddening. We watched this go on all week. Many of us started talking about it, but we we were told management didn't care and Carlos did what he wanted. He also saved seats at the pool area all day long too and we overheard guests say the only way to get good chairs was to top Carlos (a lot). So the chairs sat unused with people's names on it and marked "The Reserve". We initially thought they were for The Reserve guests, but we came to find out they weren't for the "Reserve" guests. Carlos used the signs to make money to give it to guests who paid him. Either charge for seats at the beach or not, but don't claim it is first come, first serve and allow one employee to decide who gets chairs. It was a battle everyday for everyone as we watched Carlos play games. With that being said, it was a nice resort, great servers at the restaurants, a very pretty beach, but would not go back because of how they allow their staff to "save" seats for the guests who tip the most.

    Highly Recommend Paradisus Los Cabos

Our party of 3 spent 11 nights at Paradisus Los Cabos (Reserve) and had a great time! We found the property and room to be very clean, bright, and well-maintained. We enjoyed the food and amenities, as well as the live music and lifestyle experiences such as canvas painting, etc. It can get quite loud around the main pool, so if you are seeking solitude, the Reserve area may be more to your liking. We found everything fairly easy to navigate and access, including towels by the pool and service at the beach. The property itself is stunningly beautiful, with a sweeping oceanfront and attractive layout. We generally had great service from most staff (with one exception), but there were some standouts, including: _ Ramon, who greeted us warmly and ensured our vacation got off to a great start! - our Concierge Diego - Lizbeth at the Italian restaurant - most notably, Francisco who worked incredibly hard to provide exemplary and attentive service around the pool throughout our stay - Housekeeping and room service staff, who were friendly and efficient We also appreciated the pleasant and efficient staff at the Nespresso Cafe, where we started each morning. Thank you to the team at Paradisus for a wonderful vacation experience!

STOLE MONEY RIGHT OFF MY CREDIT CARD

DO NOT STAY HERE THEY WILL STEAL YOUR MONEY! We stayed here a few weeks ago and was told we needed to give a credit card upon check in that would be charged for incidentals. I assumed it would be a pending charge and when we checked out there were no extra charges so I assumed nothing would be charged on the credit card. It wasn't until I got home I realized there was a $300 charge on my card. I have called 4 times and emailed 3 times over the past few weeks trying to get refunded only to be ignored and I am furious and feel totally stolen from. I can't believe they would run their business this way and be so dishonest. Yikes!

    Pure Paradise

The best customer service of any resort we have stayed in. The staff was extremely helpful and went above and beyond our expectations. Cristina, our concierge, helped us feel very welcome. Servando at the pool always took care of us with a smile. He was fun to talk to and helped us any way he could. Roberto in the Reserve Bar also was great. Fabian at Capellas also gave great service. I wish we could name everyone because all the staff were amazing. The resort itself was beautiful, had great amenities and gorgeous views. We are definitely returning to this amazing paradise.

Beautiful hotel with a swimmable beach!

Just returned from a great week at Paradisus with my husband. The resort is absolutely beautiful and exceptionally clean! Staff were all super friendly and we loved the variety of spaces to hang out. Upgrade to the reserve was totally worth it for us. Beach - Our favourite thing was the swimmable beach. If you're up early go reserve a cabana, first come first served. We loved lounging by the ocean and swimming in the turquoise water. We found the ocean refreshing vs. cold. Nice drink service at the beach but no food options. Main Pool - Pretty bumping music during the day and is great if you wanna drink and be social. The water temp is nice, we never found it cold as other reviewers have said. Pool cabanas have to be reserved ahead through your concierge. We were told you could only have one once per stay but we met other people whose concierges were able to reserve them every day. After a few days a little Pitbull goes a long way so more variety in music would have been nice. Reserve pool - Nice chill vibe and a great place to relax with a book. Only complaint is that you hear both the chill reserve pool tunes and the bumping main pool tunes - I ended up just putting on headphones to read. Restaurants - We were surprised by how good most of the food was - nothing was terrible and neither of us had any stomach issues. Cielo (Mexican) was our favourite - great aguachile, mole and cactus salad. The Japanese was fine and we skipped the Italian. The steakhouse was a disappointment. Everything we had other than the steaks was good, but the cuts were tough and over cooked. I would have been upset if we'd had to pay (dinner is included with the reserve). Sante was good, enjoyed the wagyu burger. We liked the lunch menu better than dinner and enjoyed the vibe and view. For breakfast we loved the main buffet, so many choices and good quality - visit the lady outside making the quesadillas and sopes! I also enjoyed the huevos rancheros at Sante. And wow the food truck at the pool - the shrimp tacos and guacamole were so good!! We didn't get around to trying room service but we heard it was good. We did the included reserve tour into San Jose which was a nice way to get a bit of culture. Totally worth it if you've never been into town. Liked the reserve lounge for pre-dinner cocktails and Ginger bar was fun after dinner especially to watch people do karaoke. Not much nightlife which we were fine with. Only real complaint was the margaritas are made with mix and were not good. Stick with palomas! I think some of the drinks we had were watered down and we wished there had been actual cocktail menus at restaurants and the reserve lounge. Top tip - bring a reusable cup cause I don't think they thoroughly wash the plastic cups, just a dunk in soapy water. Oh and check the passover schedule because this hotel is privately booked every year to a Jewish group for 10 days and they need time ahead to prepare. We saw the group leader being quite demanding with some staff during our stay and heard they start closing restaurants and shifting to only buffets about a week before. We left just in time! Overall a positive experience and I wouldn't hesitate to visit another Paradisus property.
